#note 3019 iterations of 4-ply likes JAB by 1.2 valuation over this, and this over AJI by .3. Seems pretty close.

#note This scored well, and nothing else seemed better. AIMED 13C I also considered. I didn't look at AIMED M2, which seems OK.
>Rafi: AAEIIRT J11 A.IA +9 138
#note I think this is what Rafi had.
>Noah: AGNRTUU 14I G.UNT +6 170
#note I didn't like much here, but there are a lot of options I didn't think about. This sacrifices a lot to block ARIAS, which may not be that great. Rafi didn't necessarily keep an S, and even if he did, he'd have to draw a bingo (blank is a little less likely though not impossible, though ?S doesn't seem that likely). If he draws an S bingo, his score goes up maybe 20 points on average? That might be too high. Of course this will sometimes block bingos outright. But at this score, I think this might be too much of a sacrifice. And I have a lot of interesting options here. I didn't see (F)UGU, which looks pretty good. GUN at 10B is decent. RUG 10B is interesting, though Rafi could easily have or get one of DDFTTT?, so I think I'll pass on that. AUGUR 14J seemed bad in the game, but maybe it's not. AUGUR actually mitigates Rafi's ability to score with S bingos a lot of the time, since it blocks some of them. It's also possible that high-scoring tiles will get on the double letter more often if I leave (ARIA)s alone than if I play AUGUR. I think this was a mistake and AUGUR is probably just the play. I wonder if it's even right to play GAUNT with a huge lead. Maybe.

>Noah: AAEIORU 15E AUREI +18 188
>Rafi: EHY 8A HEY +34 242
>Noah: AFILMOS M1 FILM +26 214
#note I prefered FILM to FOAM because of the consonant-heavy pool, and M1 to 14C because of the OHMS hook. But I missed the fantastic LOOF/LOAF 6K. Doing one of those is clear. LOOF is scary but maybe just worth the risk anyway, because AIMS is so much better than IMIOS.
>Rafi: AEELSTT 1M .ET +18 260
>Noah: ALNORSW 13C LAWN +26 240
>Rafi: ACCELST A4 CATC. +15 275
#note Actual rack -- Rafi wanted to block the E. This draws for SEECATCH also, which may make it better than CLACH. Rafi can also make a smaller block like T(E)C, which is reasonable with the ugly pool, and also blocks the R. Though he isn't up by that much.
>Noah: DNORSUV 4D ROV.D +22 262
#note Seemed like the T was more useful to me than the R, so I didn't do VINO or VID. Those also didn't seem to hit that many bingos. I could be convinced of another play though.
>Rafi: QS 2L Q.S +28 303
>Noah: ?AKNSUU 15M AUK +23 285
#note I also thought about SOUK 6K and KUNA 7C. But I didn't think of AUK 13L! Or SUK N4. It was hard to reason well about this play well in game. I liked this better than KUNA because KUNA empties the bag and it seemed like he could probably block / go out in two. KUNA does give me an extra draw at OUtCATCH and SEeCATCH and score more, though, and it's possible he'll have too awkward a combination of consos to go out in two. But Rafi mostly wins the endgames I've looked at after KUNA, though they are hard on both sides. (it seems possible that both of us would screw them up, especially since we both had about 3 minutes left. I don't know what to do here. I'm not convinced that 13L AUK is the better AUK. SOUK is OK, but not having the S seems like it would put a damper on my bingo chances.

#note Really interesting game.
