#player2 Morris_Greenberg Morris Greenberg
>Cesar_Del_Solar: EEMTTUZ 8G TUM +10 10
#note CS: yuck, i missed MEZE completely somehow. it's not a terrible mistake because TUT is a crappy leave, and i keep the Z to score next turn, but meh. -4
>Morris_Greenberg: AEIILTY 9E LAITY +29 29
>Cesar_Del_Solar: EEEINTZ F9 .ZINE +34 44
#note CS: quackle likes keeping the Z another turn. 10F TEE, giving me a chance at some huge Z play next turn. -4.5
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AEEEIT 10F .EE +18 47
#note MG: dETAI(N)EE.
>Cesar_Del_Solar: AAEERRT 11E A.R +10 54
#note CS: ugh, terrible, AR plays for two more points right above (RAZEE). i thought of REATA and it seemed not wise especially after his fish. -7
>Morris_Greenberg: ?AEIIOT 8B IOTA +7 54
#note MG: We can infer that Cesar did not have a B on the previous turn because otherwise, BAR E11 would have been played (so BIOTA is unlikely on his end). Additionally, I thought Cesar's range of most probable leaves was probably something like AENRS (a.k.a 5 one-pointers including an A, an R and probably an S). If we assume AENRS, Quackle much prefers OI E13 (48% for OI, 43% for IOTA). It is a very similar idea to IOTA; it opens a triple line for a specific hook that I can use the blank for and for the given rack provided, Cesar cannot. However, I don't think we can necessarily peg that Cesar doesn't have an L here, so he might be able to make an (OI)L play on E13. However, there are also a few advantages of OI: it blocks the AZINE S hook, it gives me a much better leave, and doesn't give Cesar an I and an O to play through for 8s like IOTA does. So, if you think he doesn't have an L, it is a very slick play. It really depends what you think Cesar's range could be here, and I would love to hear others' thoughts. One other thing to note is that Quackle prefers playing these kinds of plays to exchanging here.
>Cesar_Del_Solar: AEEIRST 14A AERIEST +85 139
#note CS: !
>Morris_Greenberg: ?EILQRT A13 Q.T +36 90
#note MG: IOTA blocked REQuIT(A)L :(
>Cesar_Del_Solar: AEGIKSX 15G AX +29 168
#note CS: AXE. -3. i thought i'd be giving up another lane, but quackle doesn't seem to think it gives up that many more points.
MG: I think Cesar's play looks great here. It really limits my potential to score, and with such a sound lead, that is a great position to be in.
>Morris_Greenberg: ?EIJLRW C7 J.W +25 115
#note MG: At first, I thought that J(O)WLIE(R) fit for a bajillion points, but one spot off.
>Cesar_Del_Solar: CEFGIKS 10A IFS +28 196
#note CS: didn't see the nice 12B FEIGNS or FEIGN, which are clearly better. -4.5
>Morris_Greenberg: ?DEILRU E5 DUR.. +12 127
#note MG: pRELUDI(AL).
>Cesar_Del_Solar: ?CEGHKW D12 WH.G +26 222
>Morris_Greenberg: ?EEILRS 5E .ELIvERS +66 193
>Cesar_Del_Solar: ?CEEKRV 4J REEK +24 246
#note CS: i was struggling a bit this game with slowness. i remember being frustrated by this move and not knowing what was right. J2 CREEK looks better, but i must have been afraid of something. J5 EVE looks great but also makes me afraid. meh. -11
>Morris_Greenberg: ACOOOSU C12 OU. +21 214
>Cesar_Del_Solar: ?CINOTV J4 ..V +14 260
#note CS: F2 COVEN probably. -1.5
>Morris_Greenberg: ACLMOOS N2 COSMO +31 245
>Morris_Greenberg: ACLMOOS -- -31 214
#note MG: I thought this was valid, but only COSMOS (as in the orderly universe rather than the plural of the abbreviated form of COSMOPOLITAN) is valid. Great challenge by Cesar. Regardless, MOSA(I)C is a play I missed here.
>Cesar_Del_Solar: ?CEINOT N4 sECTION +74 334
#note CS: my bingo still fit, but COSMO* looked so unfamiliar that i had to challenge.
>Morris_Greenberg: ACLMOOS M1 MOC. +24 238
>Cesar_Del_Solar: ADEIINO 1L A.ID +24 358
#note CS: playing so weird and hyper paranoid. of course i saw DAIMON but i wanted to block all the things.. gah. -12.5
MG: This looks good to me, but then again, I often play weird and hyper paranoid.
>Morris_Greenberg: ABLLOOS A7 ABO.L +42 280
#note MG: I really disliked that my only 4 or more-tile play starting at A2-A5 was SLOB. The advantage of that kind of play is it gives me some ability to open the top-left quadrant. Quackle like ABO(I)L most here, but my chances are bleak.
>Cesar_Del_Solar: AEGINOV 8L VA.N +33 391
>Morris_Greenberg: ALNOPSU 2J POL.S +32 312
#note MG: I didn't know PULA(O)S, but it is better for similar reasons as last turn
>Cesar_Del_Solar: DEGGINO O10 EDGING +35 426
>Morris_Greenberg: AEFHNPU F4 P.H +29 341
#note MG: UNPE(G) 12K.
>Cesar_Del_Solar: BDNOORY M10 ORBY +21 447
#note CS: DOBRO -9, didn't see an out in two in more than one spot, but even if he blocks YIN i have AY for 18 at 9M, so i shoulda done the math.
>Morris_Greenberg: AEFNU 1H FEU +22 363
>Cesar_Del_Solar: DNO 15L DON. +8 455
