>Jim_Burlant: ?ABDINU 8B UNBrAID +74 74
#note Was a little uncertain about DAUBINg, so I passed it up in favor of the guaranteed 74. Despite giving up the 2 scoreboard points, my preference would have been 8D DAUBINg if I'd been 100% certain. Q agrees - DAUBING would have been a smidgen better due to vowel placement and lack of a potential S hook.
>Paul_Holser: AMR 7G MAR +19 19
>Jim_Burlant: ?EILORV B7 O.tLIVER +74 148
#note I never recognized INVOLVER, didn't like OVERBOIL stopping at 11E, and forgot that OVERBOIL had an anagram, BOILOVER. I hemmed and hawed on this choice because I couldn't remember if OUTLIVER or OUTGIVER* was the phony. Turns out this was the best choice I could have made:
>Paul_Holser: ADEEOOT - +0 19
#note Lost challenge.
>Jim_Burlant: EEEHNQS A13 HEN +25 173
#note I don't agree with Quackle. Q wants me to dump the Q at 11A for 11 points. I know I have the S, but I'd rather score 25 and unload one of my three E's.
>Paul_Holser: ADO 9F ADO +20 39
>Jim_Burlant: EEOQRST -EOQ +0 173
#note Again, the duck thinks I should just fish the Q. If one of my vowels were an L or N I might do that but I just felt like I would have trouble if I drew an O or a U, so I figured I'd bite the bullet. YMMV.
>Paul_Holser: AEY C13 YEA +33 72
>Jim_Burlant: ENRSTUX D4 EXUR. +28 201
#note I opted for turnover and points after rejecting 15C AX as being too fishy. Right after I put this down I had buyer's remorse due to all the easy plays this gave back and realized I should have fished the X. Q agrees - while this does well statically a sim confirms this is decidedly mediocre, with AX as the winner.
>Paul_Holser: ABFIR E1 BARFI +43 115
>Jim_Burlant: IJNSTTT 2D T.J +26 227
>Paul_Holser: ADO 6G ADO +19 134
>Jim_Burlant: AIINSTT A1 TITIANS +76 303
>Paul_Holser: AEGOR 15C .GORAE +27 161
>Jim_Burlant: CEGTTYZ 14E YETT +22 325
#note Missing one of the not-so-new anymore 3's, YEZ. <> At least I'm waiting until the right time to start screwing up. Everything, including this, wins in excess of 99-1/2%.
>Paul_Holser: AEILLRS J7 SALLIER +65 226
>Jim_Burlant: CGMNPUZ 5I CUZ +33 358
#note Hmmm. I should probably clear more of the rack with something like 11B IMPUGN or 11G UMPING. IMPUGN looks especially strong - both for turnover and its defense,as it completely shuts down row 11.
>Paul_Holser: EF B1 EF +22 248
>Jim_Burlant: GMNNPQV -GNPQV +0 358
#note The only question is what to exchange? I wasn't worried about bingoing again and wanted to keep some scoring potential, so I opted to keep MN. Q says it's either this, exchange 6 keeping the N, or exchange 5 keeping GN. Any is really as good as the other.
>Paul_Holser: KU 8J .UK +12 260
>Jim_Burlant: IMNOOPW 12D MOONPI. +28 386
>Jim_Burlant: IMNOOPW -- -28 358
#note WTH was I thinking?!?!? WOOPIE for cheap is much better than this stupidity.
>Paul_Holser: EIOOPQS M6 QIS +21 281
>Jim_Burlant: IMNOOPW I11 POO +15 373
#note I put this down to kill any 8's on rows 11 and 12. Now he'll have to find 9's.
>Paul_Holser: EOV 3E .OVE +20 301
>Jim_Burlant: EIIMNWW H1 MI.N +21 394
#note I saw DONGLES as a possibility on row 2, so I wanted to defend against it. Clearing the W's from my rack can wait.
>Paul_Holser: N 7M .N +2 303
>Jim_Burlant: EGIOTWW N5 WI. +21 415
#note Not sure I have this rack correct, though I'm 100% sure I had both the W's. Just trying to force him to start with an S and eliminate the wide open run he created for himself.
>Paul_Holser: EEGLNS 11E SLEE..NG +44 347
#note Nice play!!!
>Jim_Burlant: CDEGHOW O1 WODGE +41 456
