#note This spot was so weird. I considered 15H (G)YVE, 14E YE and one of two Y(A)Y options. I figured that E7 Y(A)Y was stronger than 11G Y(A)Y, but really I'm just helping Deen out more by leaving the better 2x2 and the T wide open. The feeling I got was that this was better, so maybe I just knew that Deen couldn't hurt me. Between 15H GYVE and D8 GYVE, the more aggressive play does better in this case, since my options with ESY? need to be diverse. I didn't like GYVE because of the easy hooks it gave, but Deen isn't all that likely to have a hook at this point. Maybe like 30-40%. He's more likely to be able to score at 12A, which leads me to the option of playing VEES 12A for 28. That's a very unintuitive option, as it keeps the least bingo-prone tiles on my rack and gets rid of my S. But scoring can be very useful here. I'm not really behind if I take that route. The V in the triple lane is not a huge issue either.

I figured that my chances of getting a bingo were highest after YAY and I wasn't opening anything new for Deen who didn't seem like he was nervous. In all honesty, I just wanted to hit my bingo because I felt like I was a huge underdog in this game, losing however many in a row to the guy.
>Deen_Hergott: HM 12D HM +28 132
#note Deen had a play here from 12A that he eschewed. After discussing, we determined it was probably better. I think he kept a V.
>Joshua_Sokol: ?EEERSV 11D REwE.VES +106 195
#note It took a lot to convince myself that this was a word. What a lucky pull after he tried to block the 2x2.
>Deen_Hergott: ADITV 10J DAVIT +24 156
>Joshua_Sokol: ACELOPS O9 ESCALOP +96 291
#note he's basically already lost
>Deen_Hergott: ACE F6 CA.E +25 181
>Joshua_Sokol: IOOTUXZ 14L OUZ. +26 317
#note setting up my X, as Matt Canik would boast
>Deen_Hergott: ADEU M8 AD.EU +8 189
>Joshua_Sokol: DIOQTWX 8L Q.T +22 339
#note holding on to my X setup, as Matt Canik would remind you. I really had no reason to play 14B QI here when I can basically shut down the right side, but perhaps Deen was indeed going for the IN(G) bingo. On a purely probabilistic note, an IN(G) bingo is my biggest threat here, and it's difficult to block the G while Deen makes further openings, so I see the merit in playing QI now to get rid of the spot completely within a few turns.
>Deen_Hergott: ?AAEILS I1 SALArIE. +60 249
>Joshua_Sokol: DINORWX J1 OXID +60 399
#note I only really lose to a 3x3, and I knew this, but I still decided to leave that possibility alive. This is why I lose to Deen. Every time I overthink, he pounces
>Deen_Hergott: EEIINOW H4 WE +21 270
#note leaving as many parts of the board alive as he can, this is Deen's rack. K2 ENOW is the regular play but that blocks the 3x3. E(r)ENOW 5H keeps II but scores. Unfortunately that blocks the T. He should play 5G WI(r)E to open up a new threat and shed an I.
>Joshua_Sokol: BENORRW 1G RE..WN +30 429
#note Given that I wasn't 100% on RE(SO)RB, I had to make what seemed to be a small sacrifice. in equity. Keeping the N better than the R here for spread, since I hit IN(G) bingos sometimes. The W also scores better than the B on this board. But overall Quackle believes this isn't really a sacrifice at all. BOR is balanced enough that it works out in the end.
>Deen_Hergott: IIIII -IIIII +0 270
>Joshua_Sokol: BBELMOR N2 BOMBLE. +30 459
#note Now that I can't really lose, I play a word I'm not 100% on since it's cool. K3 BERM or 4H (WAD)MOL probably make more sense here, but he almost challenged.
>Deen_Hergott: IJN O1 JIN +36 306
>Joshua_Sokol: IKRRRUU 5K KRU.I +22 481
#note Yeah, should have kept some better tiles. The pool was awful. 15H (G)URU prevents some unlikely bingos so Championship player prefers that or RU(G) 15F, keeping KRU(B)I for next turn.
>Deen_Hergott: IINNOR 15B IRONIN. +9 315
#note I also give him tempo in the endgame after KRU(B)I, since even if he can't bingo, he can play off 6 tiles like this a lot of the time and leave himself multiple outs for next turn.
