#note Obviously tempting to pass and hope for AXONEMAL. I was too worried about the SAXMEN/TAXMEN hooks, but I should just do AXMEN anyway - ELN isn't a great leave. I don't like LOX against Gibson since it's easy for him to play parallel and reduce my bingo chances. CP suggests OX but I dislike it for the same reasons. Dunno what to do here but this is not right.
>David_Gibson: ?DEIOTZ 5E aTO.IZED +126 126
#note Impeccable drawing skills strike again!
>Avery: AEILNTY J3 LA.Y +24 50
#note Wanting to open a new section of the board. Not liking G7 AY since he can play at K4 and kill the right.
>David_Gibson: IJO 8F JI.O +11 137
>Avery: AEIINNT F8 .IN +12 62
#note dunno
>David_Gibson: HINPU 11E UNHIP +31 168
>Avery: AEEGINT 3H GA.ENITE +70 132
#note Seems like the difference between the two bingos is negligible
>David_Gibson: AELOPSU N1 PE.ALOUS +74 242
#note Except he doesn't play this after GELATINE. He does have APOLUNES, but it opens the board and creates a more favorable position for me against him. Obviously I can't predict this though.
>Avery: EHISUVW 1K WHU.S +51 183
#note Too bad HUSWIVES won't play.
>David_Gibson: ABE 8L BA.E +27 269
>Avery: BEFINRV 12H FIBRE +41 224
#note Debated between FIBER, FIBRE, FIVER and FIBRIN. Not sure what's best. After FIBRIN he can play a 3 tile parallel play and kill the bottom so I eliminated that. This sims worst of the options which is somewhat surprising to me since FIBER gives back cheap overlaps at 11K, killing the O column as well. FIVER is probably best - losing a lot of winning chances.
>David_Gibson: EEFRSTT 13B FETTERS +78 347
#note That's 3 now.
>Avery: ENV H1 VE. +21 245
#note Didn't write down my rack
>David_Gibson: DM 7M M.D +19 366
>Avery: ADGLNOR 9K LOG +18 263
#note I didn't like how GO killed row 2 with a D in hand but I don't know if I can sacrifice that many points. This fish is very weak and doesn't hit much in reality, even though I wanted to keep column O open still. I was frustrated, which was a theme this tournament. Surprisingly, this is 4th, per CP, but everything is below 2%.
>David_Gibson: EOQU F2 QUO.E +36 402
>Avery: ADEINOR M12 DA +18 281
#note Trying to open something - I like it better than DO since there's 3 A's unseen. Didn't see 14B AROID but I can't imagine that's best without an S.
>David_Gibson: CORY 14J CORY +22 424
>Avery: AEINORT 7G O. +13 294
#note Just can't get anything! These lost tempos are costing me.
>David_Gibson: EINV 12A VINE +33 457
#note Wait...
>Avery: AEILNRT B7 ANTIL..ER +78 372
#note Yes! He held and released it. I really wish he had challenged. It's good, and it's the only bingo.
>David_Gibson: ACGKNSW 15A W.ACKS +54 511
#note Seems uncharacteristic of him to not block my bingos with 4B WACKOS or 7A WACK, but this seals the deal.
>Avery: ?ADIRRT A1 TARRIeD +77 449
#note Disappointing to get this close after being down 120-160 the whole game, but at least I made a decent showing after some mistakes. Well played to the master.
