#player2 Doug_Lundquist Doug Lundquist
>Joshua_Sokol: ABGIPYZ H6 GYP +18 18
#note 8G GABY sims best. I didn't consider that, saw GAPY and GYP, and BIZ for a short bit. Figured I wanted the tightest board possible against the word wiz I was up against. I knew this took an O, but that was the hint of aggressiveness that I wanted as well. Make him give me a spot for my Z. Thought about Z setups but nothing works well. This placement sims best for GYP, but ZIP, GAPY and GABY do better overall. Not really anything to sulk over, this position is highly stylistic one.
>Doug_Lundquist: IILOORX 6H .OX +27 27
#note despite it giving back an easier scoring spot, OXO on either side (9F or 9H) sim better than this.
>Joshua_Sokol: ABDIIRZ 5I BAIRD +29 47
>Joshua_Sokol: ABDIIRZ -- -29 18
#note didn't see RABID on this rack. That would have made this position much harder since I would not have tried BAIRD*, and would have hhd to settle for I8 IZAR perhaps
>Doug_Lundquist: FIILOOR 9D FOLIO +19 46
#note definitely move it over 3, but either way he gives me a spot for my valid 5.
>Joshua_Sokol: ABDIIRZ 8A BIDI +30 48
#note Couldn't fathom that he would have given me a spot for BRAID hereso I completely missed it... Weird
>Doug_Lundquist: AEEIOPR 5I POI +23 69
>Joshua_Sokol: ARRTTWZ B7 R.TZ +33 81
>Doug_Lundquist: AAEEERT C2 AERATE. +21 90
#note C10 AREAE looks good here as well, but going for the blanks is always a plus.
>Joshua_Sokol: AINRTUW F6 WAU. +15 96
#note quite the misjudgment here, I should definitely keep AINT here over INRT with one of 2B of 5B W(A)UR. I think I just saw all the E's left and jumped on the occasion to have EINRT on my rack. ugh
>Doug_Lundquist: DEIORSU E4 DUO +13 103
>Joshua_Sokol: AIILNRT D1 LARI +22 118
#note glad he changed UDO to DUO so I could score 22 points. Marginal difference between INTI, LIRA, LIRI and LARI here, but the less intuitive INTI does best on a sim. But I counted this as 23
>Doug_Lundquist: EIIKRSS L1 KEIRS +34 137
#note KISSIER
>Joshua_Sokol: CDILNOT 1H CLON. +33 151
#note 7F (A)C(Y)LOIN is super cool but this looks right
>Doug_Lundquist: EEEEFOS 6A EF. +39 176
#note get rid of one more E for 8 fewer points. M3 FEE. EEOS is at least manageable
>Joshua_Sokol: ?DEILNT 8H .aNTILED +83 234
>Doug_Lundquist: BEEEGOS F1 OGEE +14 190
#note 3I BOG(I)E
>Joshua_Sokol: EGHMOTW 3J WE.GHT +26 260
#note A1 TOWHE(E). Huge miss
>Doug_Lundquist: ABDENNS C10 AND +15 205
#note o1 BA(T)ED
>Joshua_Sokol: ?IMNORV N7 R.MOVINg +78 338
>Doug_Lundquist: BENNSTT L7 B.TTEN +16 221
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIJMRS 10J JE.S.M +31 369
#note looked like the only way to lose was a 2x2 to the E with QU or a huge ANDS play with the Q, in that order. So I was about to just block with JE(T) but decided to be fancy for no reason. JA(D)ES is the best play, blocks both of the threats, and o1 JE(T)SAM is good for spread.
>Doug_Lundquist: AEEHNSY O1 EA.H +33 254
#note HY(T)E but really don't keep the Y here
>Joshua_Sokol: AAACIRV 12A CA.I +20 389
#note almost fished off an A for AVARICE, CAVIARE, CAVIARS or AIRVACS, but that's not going down anywhere. I preferred to block SUQ. If I draw the Q I get stuck anyway.
>Doug_Lundquist: ENQSSUY E12 SUQ +20 274
#note -10 K10 (E)YEN setting up another spot for SUQS
>Joshua_Sokol: AARUV A12 .AVA +27 416
#note he was just too powerful in the endgame, shouldn't have played CADI.
>Doug_Lundquist: ENSY 15E SYNE +34 308
>Doug_Lundquist: (RU) +4 312
