#description Saved by Elise version 0.1.8
>Nigel_Richards: AFU H8 AUF +12 12
#note The placement made me wonder if he had an S.
>Quinn_James: EOX G8 EXO +42 42
>Nigel_Richards: FOR F10 ORF +16 28
#note Nigel forks, probably close to a bingo.
>Quinn_James: EGILNR? E5 cRINGLE +89 131
#note ...but I already have one.
>Nigel_Richards: AKR 6C RARK +18 46
>Quinn_James: AIW C3 WAIR +14 145
#note Nigel opens an extra lane; it wasn't much of a sacrifice to close it.
>Nigel_Richards: ABDEEIR 13A BEADIER +79 125
#note Couldn't do much about (ORF)E, though.

>Quinn_James: ANNW C9 WANNA +27 306
>Nigel_Richards: DEJ M10 JEED +24 241
#note If I had a good rack here, I'd be totally in the driver's seat. No such luck, though.
>Quinn_James: CLR K10 CIRL +6 312
#note I can block two and a half (SE- bingos hooking ORFES) lanes and balance, but at the cost of scoring only 6 points.
#note Since he fell behind, Nigel's been trying to ensure there are at least two separate bingo-allowing areas open at the end of his turn, but he doesn't want me to be able to score. JEED was another step in that direction, keeping me from a good dump score around that E.
#note It's good for Nigel that he can still bingo hooking EA; it's sort-of good for me that at least those bingos give reasonable counterplay.
>Nigel_Richards: EEEEIII -EEEII +0 241
#note Fortunately, Nigel has crap too.
>Quinn_James: PRU I6 PUR +9 321
#note I held an S when I played this, and pretty good tiles, but I'm not sure of the rack.
#note There's not many options on this board besides bingoing, and with a lead, I want to be more aggressive about changing that. PUR makes the one lane a bit easier to use, but at the cost of opening good-scoring parallels and lucrative five-letter TLS plays. Also, most of the advantage redounds to my benefit as I retain the S for SPUR and for EARS (I'd most like to bingo hooking EARS, as that provides Nigel the least counterplay.)
#note Bingoing without an S is possible too, but this is now more dangerous, as most such bingos hit the top row and open both TWSes, etc. I can't block EA all the way, so if Nigel *must* bingo I want him to do it in a way I can respond to.
>Nigel_Richards: OO L11 NOO +16 257
>Quinn_James: EIMNOST 5G MESTINO +74 395
#note yes good
>Nigel_Richards: ELNOTY? L1 NOcENTLY +80 337
>Quinn_James: AITVY 1J VANITY +36 431
#note Tell StopYourVanity I made a play for 'em.
#note You can see now why I wanted to hook PUR-- it's now impossible for Nigel to come back unless I make some huge mistake. The board geometry doesn't permit it.
>Nigel_Richards: IO N9 IOS +16 353
#note Nigel's going to try, though.
>Quinn_James: BCDEI O5 CEBID +33 464
#note And exhale.
