#note awful. I figured this would perform similarly with an exchange, but that the negative psychological aspect of exchanging on turn one would make this slightly better. But I completely missed a 4 I always have trouble with, despite whether or not you agree that this is better than exchanging keeping NT
>Mark_Przybyszewski: ENNY 6J .ENNY +18 48
>Joshua_Sokol: DNNRSTX -DNNRX +0 14
#note I kept ST over other options that are usually better, such as RST, NS and RS, simply because of the floating N's on the board as well as being able to underlap if he plays something under the J. J becomes JO becomes JOT. Quackle thinks I should keep RST. Sure I guess, I trust that that is better
>Mark_Przybyszewski: CIV K3 VIC. +18 66
>Joshua_Sokol: ENSTUVW 4H UNW.T +18 32
#note Now I was starting to get worried about the state of the board, so I preferred to open things up on the left side. Quackle once again disagrees and says that I should still play V(I)EW keeping UNST. Apparently 4 points better. I don't know.

#note I spent around 4 minutes on this single turn. This is because I was really, really close to playing (U)NCURVES*. After the game, Mark said he thought it was a word. Perhaps he would have let it go in that case, but I think my decision to not play it, despite having taken 4 minutes to make, was correct. Otherwise I could play 5C CURVES, NEV(U)S/VEN(U)S or UNC(U)S. I once again preferred to get rid of my U. It's very close due to the 3-point sacrifice, but CURVES does best on a sim. Meh.

#note I didn't want to give back huge overlaps, but I guess this is sort of safe, only 9 of the remaining 53 letters go at M3, and he can still score huge at O1.

#note not quite sure what to say about this. Either this was not my leave (although I'm not sure what else I could have had), or I didn't see how many A's were left in the pool to draw to with my Q, or what. I have no idea what this was.

#note that's right, I just drew into a bingo with my leave of AGII. It's signinficantly better to sacrifice the 3 points here, just because the only way he can win is to hit a bingo, and his chances of doing so increase by 6% if I play underneath DEFAULTS compared to on top of it. He still has around a 1/10 shot at a bingo though, so in no way was I out of the woods. This was a very stressful minute of seeing what tiles I drew and what tiles he had.
>Mark_Przybyszewski: AILNOOT O9 TO.NAIL +24 348
#note turns out he would have had NOTIO(N)AL had I played underneath DEFAULTS! Whew... This is 6 points worse than E4 A(R)OINT
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIOSTT 9F TOTE +22 414
#note -3 to 13A (KI)TES which I somehow forgot about. I was definitely a zombie this game, lucky to have gotten the win despite countless idiocies.
