#note Many of you will notice that I did well in terms of spread gain this tournament. Well, I could have done far, far better. Figured that although JN was a better leave on the surface than JL, VINCA scoring two points more would make up the difference in leave. Andrew also has a small extra chance at an immediate bingo after VINCA, but in the long term it all works out for me to choose the 2 points, seemingly.

#note just dropping the J seemed like a good option here, as well as just playing JE(T). Given my position and winning chances against Andre I chose the less fishy play here. Seeing the results it seems JE(T) is, as expected, a bit more variant than I would like, although it does nicely set me up at both 3I and 5G. I don't believe I thoroughly considered that aspect of the play. Going again I likely would have played JE(T) for that setup potential. I also preferred not giving him the 2K J spot over that 3K one because I am less likely than usual to be able to take advantage of the scoring spots a 4 or 5-letter word would open up for me. Quackle prefers the other placement, citing that I will be able to take advantage. Don't believe I agree.

#note basically equivalent to play QAT first or FEY first. Both spots are around equally likely to get blocked, the FEY spot just a tad more likely, which accounts for the added inflexibility of the rack if if the Q spot gets blocked. If FEY gets blocked next turn I might have another option but it's very unlikely I will have an option if QAT gets blocked other than to exchange. But really the two moves are so similar that you should just go for which one is more your style. I liked blocking the top of the board for good.

#note here is where I start to get super super greedy. I am going for an E here for OVERL(O)AD and blocking the X I believe he has finally drawn.

#note best to block NEEDIES(T) here. The greed continued and I attempted to hit an unblockable out-bingo with an E. OVERLA(P)S on the right and OVERSAL(T) on the left.
>Andre_Popadynec: DEEEINS A1 NEEDIES. +83 383
#note oops. I did so well on spread this tournament, and yet I gave back over 100 spread points just because I was greedy. What a swing.
