>Joey: ADGIRRV 8D VIRGA +26 26
>Jonathan: ABDEIRS I3 BRAISED +76 76
>Joey: ADHORTU - +0 26
#note I was not aware of this new hook, but losing a turn here might be a blessing in disguise.
>Jonathan: ?ADEORT E4 ADrO.TER +82 158
#note Out of the 8 2x2's, I thought the one that didn't take an S would be safest. However, I slotted Joey an E...
>Joey: ADHORTU 10A OUTH.ARD +66 92
#note My plan worked, though I would certainly prefer to know VIRGAE in the first place.
>Jonathan: AAEIIMT 9G AI. +14 172
#note D3 AMIA might be a little better. This still may be worth it and it was.
>Joey: DILNPPX A8 PL.P +24 116
>Jonathan: AEIMNTT 4G MA.TINET +72 244
>Joey: DFINNUX D1 FUND +30 146
#note I thought about tacking on the I since I was quite a ways behind, but I wanted to be sure I had a vowel with the X.
>Jonathan: LLNOSTU 1D .LOUT +24 268
>Joey: ABINRSX F1 .X +25 171
>Jonathan: LNNOOSY C2 NOON +18 286
#note SONLY is the play here. I know the word, but it hasn't quite cemented into my mind yet. I think it did when I learned I missed this. NOON isn't bad though. I thought it was better than L3 OY, which I originallly laid down. My play is -9.6. When I laid down OY, I thought I caught Joey making a funny glance...
>Joey: ABINORS M3 S.AROBIN +74 245
#note JL: Because I would have blocked SEAROBIN! However Joey still had TABORINS which I'm sure he sees. Okay, maybe NOON wasn't such a bad mistake after all.
>Jonathan: GJKLSTY K3 J.G +22 308
#note Best play! Not a lot I could do here.
>Joey: ?CEOOUZ B4 COZ +43 288
#note Usually I might play ZOO, but I had the last remaining O.
JL: Shoot! Joey won't go away!
>Jonathan: EKLSSTY O1 KEYS +48 356
>Joey: ?EEHOQU 3F OH +30 318
>Jonathan: EEILSTW 11I WILES +27 383
#note I was paranoid about the remaining blank.
>Joey: ?CEEFQU J10 F.QUE +27 345
>Jonathan: EEEIMTV 14I V.E +6 389
#note I have absolutely no clue what to do here. I thought I could outrun Joey has long as he didn't bingo. I was wrong.
>Joey: ?ACEEGY 8L A.YE +30 375
>Jonathan: EEEIIMT O6 IT.M +6 395
#note I feel strongly compelled to block the O8 bingo lane. As it turned out, Joey didn't even have a bingo. And I still have no clue what to do here.
>Joey: ?CEGINW 15K tWICE +40 415
#note JL: Cheez It Cracker Voice: Click, check, click. This game is over.
>Jonathan: AEEEILR B4 ...IE +20 415
#note I did not play a good endgame. I lose no matter what, but D10 plays of HEELER, HEALER, or HAILER for 22 save some spread. -9.8
>Joey: GN L7 N.G +9 424
#note JL: The game against Sidd I should have won. However, this game may have been merely really bad timing. I don't feel as bad about this game now, but blowing a 100+ point lead against a top expert is still discouraging. Kudos to Joey Mallick for finding a way to take this one. Many people would have mentally given up after I played MARTINET.
>Joey: (AEELR) +10 434
