#note Another incredibly weird turn. Do I fish? I did not consider only playing off my A here with (Z)A or alternatively, G7 A(W) (which doesn't make sense). I considered playing 15D ODA, which creates an S lane that I didn't think I needed. So alternatively I can play G8 (W)OAD for the same amount of points, not opening the same lane. That seems better than the play I made, although keeping the D instead of the N has some merit here for scenarios where I have to keep dinking tiles on the board and scoring in the teens rather than in the single digits.

#note Seemed sort of fishy? Thinking he has a blank or a strong leave with the T, but perhaps I'm overthinking. In any case, I'm ahead 100 points after this with no real lane besides O1 (which isn't that easy to hit with the looks of the rest of the pool, even considering Michael's range of leaves). And I seal off most of the left of the board for now. He can fish at F5, but I can block again with RE(V) most of the time. FAVE in the same spot is a strong play as well, but it doesn't bode as well long-term, since he can easily reopen the top left and even the bottom left later on.

#note I'm winning this game really, so why not go for gold? This might not be a good play, but I thought it could be good for spread. It doesn't handle the lane as well as TOE C8 or TUTEE C6 does, but it does a pretty good job, and sets me up much better than it will usually set Michael up with R(EF).

#note C11 REX is probably the best play given so many consonants in the pool and given that it gives much less back than this. But if he was close to a bingo, I would have expected this be good for me, since I can overlap next turn. Silly logic that I use in too many situations: most of the racks he has overlap this play well. Only if he does have a bingo, which will sometimes block my own overlaps, would he maybe not play in the spot this opens. Greedy
