>Mark_Edelson: ?DEILRS 5D DaRI.LES +82 82
>Matt_Canik: AADIMOR G8 DIORAMA +67 91
#note Never been so happy to draw AAIMO.
I think my placement of this is correct as opposed to I8. I8 is much weaker to H12 plays and S plays, whereas G8 gives up the J.
>Mark_Edelson: EEFJ F10 JEFE +66 148
>Matt_Canik: INPTUUW 4A UNWIT +25 116
#note WIN(D)UP is about 2 points better.
>Mark_Edelson: BV 11E V..B +18 166
>Matt_Canik: AENOPUY 4J YAUPON +31 147
>Mark_Edelson: ADW 6G D.AW +38 204
>Matt_Canik: EEGGLNU O1 GUN.EL +21 168
#note I can use the same tiles to play (U)NGLUE. That almost has to be better because I'm opening up the bottom-left portion. Q suggests the aggro-as-hell LU(N)GEE and the "I'm going to score 12 or 74 next turn" EGG H13.
>Mark_Edelson: CRSY 15G SCRY +38 242
>Matt_Canik: CEEGIOR B2 GE.IC +28 196
#note I am not sure if this takes a front A. It's something I need to set up and hope for, though.
>Mark_Edelson: BIINT 14J BINIT +39 281
>Matt_Canik: AEIKORT 13K OAK +30 226
#note Not happy to give up the A, but there are 4 more.
>Mark_Edelson: DLO 15M DOL +22 303
>Matt_Canik: EHHILRT A3 H.H +19 245
#note HH
>Mark_Edelson: AEIRZ 1A ZAIRE +54 357
#note And this is where I lose the game. AGENIC* seemed like a word in my head, and if Mark also thought it was a word then it's probably a word. Nope.
>Matt_Canik: EIILRTV 12F ..IL +13 258
#note I just lose
>Mark_Edelson: AGM M1 GAM. +18 375
>Matt_Canik: EEIRTTV D3 V..ETTE +12 270
#note Mark hasn't indicated a blank. Can I pull it?
>Mark_Edelson: AQ 8B QA. +12 387
>Matt_Canik: ?EIORSX 2E XEROSIs +76 346
#note Yes I can!!!
This was a very interesting turn to me. The club was giving away two prizes: a toonie for the highest-scoring X play and a toonie for the longest X word. So I can take a guaranteed $4 by playing here. BUT
If I fish off the R, I can draw UT into QUIXOTES for 100. The odds that I pull it are significantly higher than 2/11 because Mark's last play seemed quite strongly to indicate that he didn't have a U. But looking at QUIXOTES, it's only 100 and even if I bingo out with it, I will likely lose the game. So I took my guaranteed $4 and passed the chance to maybe win the game.
