#note Whoa, stop for a second! I want you to do me a favor as you play through this game, and actually try to play through it. Don't just flip through the moves until you get to the awesome one. I want you to share in the awesomeness. ***Try to find it yourself!***

>Carl_Johnson: EIMMNQU 3H .QUINE +50 82
#note Then! Keep track of how many you've found. If you've found more than everybody else at the end, then you win a year's supply of Cyberspace Kudo Units.

#note or HELIX
>Carl_Johnson: ADGHMMS J9 MM +31 113
#note Setting up the H. Quackle prefers playing off the H immediately. (-4)
>JD: ADEIILN 4H .I +20 114
>Carl_Johnson: AADGHKS 7C DAK +21 134
#note Nearly all of Quackle's recommended plays burn the H. The only exception is SKAG C8, setting up the H in two places. It's not particularly useful to block bingo lanes at this score; I can't kill them all, and if he hits something, he'll often be able to control the board.
>JD: ACDEILN 9C CAD +23 137
#note well, that's unfortunate...alcidine blocked. LAD? AD? LAD wins the sim, I think I agree
>Carl_Johnson: ACGHIJS 8J HAJ +31 165
#note Jesse is the master of suspense. I had seen the possibility of HIJACKINGS E2 if Jesse put an N at 9E. Jesse slowly laid his tiles down, and the D fell upside down when he placed it. My heartbeat was audible in the second or two until he flipped it over. As it turns out, HIJACKINGS# is Collins and would have been challenged off. CARJACKINGS and SKYJACKINGS are in the American wordlist. Meanwhile, HAJ 7G wins the sim.(-5) I think my reasoning here was that CIG M7 kills the board if he can't bingo next turn.
>JD: ?EEIILN M7 LIE +19 156
#note ugh, my first missed bingo of the tournament. I was really kicking myself over this one once I realized a couple of turns later what I'd missed, but it turns out it's only about a 7 point error on da sim since I'm offering up so many points next turn.
>Carl_Johnson: GIZ L1 ZI.G +48 213
>JD: ?EEEINT 1F ETErNI.E +98 254
#note also, this wouldn't have happened, so it looks like it all worked out better for me anyway
>Carl_Johnson: CEFOOPS 2B SPOOF +49 262
>JD: BINNRRY D1 B.NNY +26 280
#note BORN is a point better on the sim
>Carl_Johnson: ACDERSY N1 DESCRY +74 336
#note Bam! You have just witnessed 74 points of pure, dazzling style! This is the stuff that Lady Gaga daydreams about in that scrumptious meat suit. DESCRY: #13 on Carl Johnson's 2013 Awesome Play Countdown. Eternized here for your entertainment.
>JD: IOPRRRS 5C P.RO +18 298
#note ugh, really bad miss here...I just didn't spot SIMP. SIMP/PRIOR gives me a real chance of coming back.
>Carl_Johnson: AAGORUU O6 AUGUR +23 359
>JD: EIIRRST B2 .IR +3 301
#note I figured I needed to create some kind of a threat that he might have trouble dealing with...but that said, quackle suggests that RAI at 7G, besides scoring 5 more points and giving up some free points, ends up bingoing LESS next turn...maybe because the SCAD hook is getting blocked? frankly, I'm stumped...I think I pick SIR still.
>Carl_Johnson: AAEEEOO C9 .OOEE +14 373
#note I was all set to play POOPED C3. SIR is a horror story as scary as my draw. Not only does it block my scoring play, I can't block row A or B. Best I can do is blast the board wide open and hope for the best.
>JD: EIRSTTU C5 .U. +6 307
#note I rather like TUI at D13 here, not that it occurred to me at the time...given how much I'm down I could really use another high-scoring lane.
>Carl_Johnson: AAAEGLT A4 AGATE +24 397
>JD: BEIRSTT 7G B.T +16 323
>Carl_Johnson: ?ALLNVW B12 NAW +16 413
#note Mike Baron was observing this game and pointed out sim-winner LEV 13B. (-12)
>JD: AEIORST L8 .AROSITE +84 407
#note too little, too late, although apparently I win 3/36
>Carl_Johnson: ?LLLNOV 15I NOV.LLa +27 440
>JD: FT 13K F.T +12 419
#note eh, all in all I didn't really play well enough to beat Carl. He even drew poorly enough down the stretch that I had a shot, but the quality of my decision-making wasn't quite up to snuff and I didn't hit my bingo soon enough.
