>Adam_Logan: EILMU 10F ILEUM +26 44
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: ADEFSST 11E EFS +29 41
#note FADS is definitely the play here. I passed up stuff like DEFATS because it gave so much back (underlaps). FADS does sort of the same thing. I loved how EFS didn't open up too much, but with my tiles, I should be trying to open the board up. This wouldn't be bad if I had an R for REFS, but it makes no sense with my current leave.
>Adam_Logan: BJO F5 JOB +18 62
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: AADESST 12D ADS +17 58
#note Attempting to correct last turn's mistake. I liked this more than TAJ.
>Adam_Logan: GNOOP C9 PONGO +28 90
#note This is Collins. Ugh, I need to freshen up my fives knowledge. It looked fishy to me, I swear.
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: AEGINST D4 INGATES +74 132
>Adam_Logan: ACDDEE B6 DECADE +33 123
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: CHIKLOT A11 THICK +57 189
>Adam_Logan: AMRT 11I MART +20 143
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: AAEILOT 5F .IAO +11 200
#note I debated between this and plays on the C column (TOEA, OLEA). C column plays are nice and defensive, killing the dangerous A column, but JIAO keeps the board wide open with a bingo-prone leave. Maybe I was wrong to play open with a lead, but with a rack of one-pointers, I won't hold a lead on a closed board for long. At any rate, I don't think it's an easy decision here. My play definitely did not work out.

>Adam_Logan: AELRTY A1 LYRATE +33 254
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: EILLNWY 4I WINE.Y +29 277
#note Liked this over TWINY, but I completely whiffed on WINTLE, which keeps the Y to score next turn.
>Adam_Logan: EO B2 OE +16 270
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: EHLLNOW L9 LO.H +14 291
#note In hindsight, I should not have inferred bingo tiles from Adam's play. Why would he kill the L if he has the blank? Stupid for me not to realise that. Instead I played some knee-jerk bingo defense and don't block the real scoring threat on column C. C1 OWE is definitely the play.
>Adam_Logan: FOU C3 FOU +28 298
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: AEILNOW 13J LWEI +22 313
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: AEILNOW -- -22 291
#note I played LOTH because it took no hooks. And then I decided to doubt myself and convinced myself LOTHE* was a word. Game over!
>Adam_Logan: EI K4 .E.I +14 312

#note Allowing a phony and playing one of my own! Well-deserved loss!
>Matthew_Tunnicliffe: (UBN) +10 342
