State/Provincial Champions

Postby trainrec » Wed Aug 29, 2012 1:36 am

I know British Columbia (Canada) recently had a Provincial Championship. Wouldn't it be cool if... All provinces/states had a State Champion?

-It might be hard in States/Provinces without a large number of NASPA members, but maybe this will encourage them to join.
-It might also be helpful if NASPA got involved in this endeavor (wink wink)

BoB is the NorCal champion. Not a California champ, per se, but since the Bay Area is pretty unquestionably the strongest Scrabble scene in the states right now, it's as good as a state champ :)

My hope with starting the BC Provincial Championship was that other provinces/states would follow suit. Texas was the only one that I saw running a championship (anyone know if there are others?) and so I figured I'd change that. Eric, you should run the Alberta Provincials as an apprentice director! :D

Well heeee-ya! If that doesn't sound like a hoot, how about 10 player online co-op play?
