Omaha, NE Entrants list last modified: August 26, 2017 09:58:33 AM (Eastern time) Director's notes: IMPORTANT UPDATE! This year's new location is a Hampton Inn at 1401 South 72nd Street. Phone is 402-933-5510. The good news is that the new hotel is brand new and very nice. Room includes a nice full breakfast. There are lots of places to eat and shop. Aksarben Village is a couple of blocks away. We have a large group coming to this tourney and will need all our space in the playing room for the competitors. The board room next to the playing room will be used for storage of bags and other non-essential stuff during the tourney. Please place your extra stuff in the board room. It can also be used to hold luggage on Sunday if you check out of your room early. Krista will be handling our data entry in the boardroom and players will turn in results slips in that room. Registration will be held in the boardroom. Please check in there when you arrive on Saturday. Registration is planned from 8:15-8:45. I will be there by 8 and hope to have everyone checked in by 8:30 if possible. You will be advised of your first round match info at check-in. Please find your assigned table and verify that you have the necessary equipment. Please do NOT begin play until the announcement to begin play is made. Snacks and water will be available in the boardroom. Please keep food out of the playing room. Bottled water is permitted in the playing room. Please keep the cap on to prevent spillage. Please be very aware of making noise in the playing room. The boardroom and breakfast area are both available for post-game conversation. Cellphones should be silenced while in the playing room. Please do not use your cellphone in the playing room for any reason. I will be directing and playing in the tournament. You are expected as a player to know the correct procedures for play. Please review these if you need to. Try to keep director calls to a minimum. Thanks for your consideration. Thank you to everyone who ordered one of this year's tourney t-shirts. Shirts have been ordered and should be ready for you at the tourney. Based on current registrants, Division 1 will have Round Robin pairings through game 9, then Swiss pairings (minimum repeats) through round 12, then KOH in round 13. Divisions 2, 3 and 4 will have RR through round 11 followed by KOH in rounds 12 and 13. Tables will be color coded with clips (actually clothes pins) to help players find their assigned tables for play. Check the entrants list to find your division's color. Six tables will be used for two boards; twelve tables will have single boards. Please place smaller boards (19" foldups) on tables for two boards as much as possible. If you are in town on Friday night, consider coming by the Hampton Inn around 6. We are able to use the meeting room or a breakfast room to get in some friendly games. We are free to bring in drinks or food if we want. I'm bringing za! Come join us!
