#note Dropped the ball here. I saw ISM but was a bit worried about the MAXI and VEXT hooks and the JISM spot, but still it is way more defensive than SEMI. SEMI does make the board a bit more bingo friendly, but the I as a floater helps himway more than me, and gives him access to the triple. I missed SEI/AXE, which looks like the star play to keep the board really S dependent while not setting up big scoring plays. SEMI is really bad, worse than a lot of other plays like MAVIS as well

#note missed TANKINI for 44 despite looking hard - that is about 9 better in a sim. KI also sims 2 points ahead of KA - KAE plays let him still average the same as after KI, and it seems that allows fewer bingoes to fit, whereas after KA he may be more encouraged to open the board. Hard to interpret these sim results, I average 4 more after KI and bingo a hair more. I imagine bingoes that fit with INKS and AIT also really help my average.

#note INTR(A)NTS might be a bit better for 2 more points, with the 8K spot still available it isnt a big deal to open the triple there. I kinda liked VINTNERRS as a possibility of keeping the top left closed in case I manage an early lead from her. Still, this looks technically incorrect.

#note feels like a good board to go for bingoes on, I will be at a big advantage if I land something

#note oh goddd I missed JEZAIL for 71. I spent so much time deciding whether to keep CJ for EJECT draws with ZOEAL, or just drop JO for 25, or do something like ZILCH. I did not consider ZOIC or AZOIC, which look like better versions of ZILCH to keep better tiles with the J. I felt like a lot of draws with JO didnt give me a whole lot, but having LAICIZE and then some other 40 point plays with other draws, plus minimum ZILCH or LAZEE makes JO worth it over ZILCH or AZOIC. Still, horrible miss of JEZAIL here.

#note could do OUTSEE here as well, which I didnt see. Looks a bit better. The board, while not looking so potent, is actually quite decent for scoring, so swinging the extra spots with OUTSEE is not so crazy, and I am so much better equipped to score myself. Still, fairly close in the sim

#note could not remember if ASIAGO was one of the valid cheeses or phony cheese. It is good and clearly the best play, EU works fairly well with th epool and scores better
>Carl_Johnson: OW 10D .OW +29 259
>Jackson: AIILOOR 6J OI. +16 284
#note didnt see A10 OORALI, which looks good. No reason to keep AILOR here, and OORALI reaches for better scoring tiles + the S.

#note I liked leaving 4 in the bag instead of 5 for timing, limiting his options a bit in the preendgame, preventing some plays that leave 2 in the bag from being as strong to outscore. I liked keeping the C as well in case I need it for a defensive play on the 2 row, in case he makes a fishier play. Still, MARC or MANIC have some merit, as does NARIC for having a better scoring tile to underlap 14 row plays. The C is not super important to keep here cause most of his fishing plays will probably open a better 7s lane on the bottom, but it can come in handy occasionally if the lane downstairs is weaker. Overall I am in a fairly good position here since the pool isnt so good
>Carl_Johnson: EFISTY 14J FEISTY +47 367
>Jackson: ABCINRW 15H BRAWN +46 387
#note To top off a really horribly played game, I blow the game in spectacular fashion. I was looking at the tiles and saw BRAWN, and thought to myself that great, BRAWN keeps CR and I will be able to go out with CRY or ORC or ARC, and the win is easy. I slap it down, hit my clock, and look in horror at CI sitting on my rack, not CR, with just ICY as my out. This game was really humbling. CRAW and BRAW are easy wins
