>Liz_Gottlin: AEMX 8F EXAM +26 26
>David_Weisberg: ?EGILOW 9F WIG +26 26
#note No bingos here. 9F WILE 31 sims a point ahead of this, but the sim also says WIG bingos nearly 70% of the time next turn vs. 49% for WILE (and they will be tougher to find bingos after WILE). WIG all the way for me.
>Liz_Gottlin: EHU 7H HUE +19 45
>David_Weisberg: ?ELORTU J6 R.sOLUTE +74 100
#note Highest scoring and best. Even better if you accidentally score it as 75 as I did.
>Liz_Gottlin: EIKNNPS 6B PINKENS +79 124
>David_Weisberg: EEEIPVY D3 VEI.Y +22 122
#note Big miss here. K9 YIPE 35, which comes out 10 points over VEINY. D4 PINEY also beats VEINY by a few points.
>Liz_Gottlin: NO 5D .ON +20 144
>David_Weisberg: ACDEENP K9 PANED +31 153
#note Sims a point ahead of K3 CAPED or PACED 30. After ION, I though Liz had a pretty strong leave so keeping it more closed made sense, though it's hard to keep it too closed from this position.
>Liz_Gottlin: EILNORT B3 TER.INOL +62 206
>David_Weisberg: ACCEIRT A10 ARCTIC +41 194
#note I thought this was solid, but missed L7 ACETIC 47! It also keeps R for RESOLUTER. It sims 5 points ahead of ARCTIC.
>Liz_Gottlin: ADDY A1 DYAD +40 246
>David_Weisberg: BEEIIST 3D .IBE +10 204
#note Another great overlap on column L, L7 BESTIE 35, comes out best in the sim, followed by A7 BE a point behind, which I didn't care for. 10A ALIBIES 29 is interesting and comes out 4 points behind BESTIE, and it has the advantage of a better leave and not closing the board. VIBE is stronger than I might have thought in comparison, running 5.5 behind BESTIE. It's a little desperate but it apparently bingos 44% of the time, far more than the other plays. Knowing BESTIE is an option though, I might take it, as those extra 25 points may be hard to come by soon. I think it's debatable though.
>Liz_Gottlin: FO B13 OF +22 268
>David_Weisberg: EEFISTU C9 FEU +22 226
#note Sims best, but coming only 2 points behind is the gunslinging play of I13 FEU, opening a U on the 3x3 which will be hard for her not to block, leaving row 1, 2, and 4 or columns E (maybe), K, and L free for my bingos. I'd have to hope she has a weak rack for that though, and her last play, though defensive, could also suggest a better than average leave. Meanwhile, H1 FUSE 34 didn't seem worth burning the S for. It sims 3.5 behind my play.
>Liz_Gottlin: AEEIMNT L3 ETAMINE +75 343
#note 1A DEMENTIA 86. I'm not sure if she saw this and wanted to keep things more closed, but 11 points is a big difference, and it wins over ETAMINE in a sim by about that much.
>David_Weisberg: AEGISTW M3 WAG +29 255
#note WAG over WIG because there were three unseen A's and only one unseen I. My play is valued by 5 more in a sim.
>Liz_Gottlin: OORR 12G ROO..R +14 357
>David_Weisberg: EIOOSST M12 SOOT +15 270
#note Sims about 6 better than 12A COS, which still preserves a passable leave and keeps the E and N columns and row 1 open. Row 15 may get blocked even more often than the sim gives SOOT credit for, but on the other hand it gives me two more shots at drawing the blank. 12 COSIE 27 scores most but using the last E seemed deadly to my bingo chances. I'm likely sunk at this point anyway, but I liked the volatility this introduces. Quackle thinks I win about 5% of the time after SOOT vs. around 1% after the other plays (or 6J ROMEO 17, setting up my S's).
>Liz_Gottlin: AQ 15K QA. +13 370
>David_Weisberg: EIJLSTZ G2 T. +2 272
#note Lots of scoring plays to choose from, but when I saw the possibility of fishing for an A for JEZAILS at 1D for 142 or at N3 for 108, it was hard to pass it up. (Of course, drawing the blank will allow similar scores for the word.) The more sober thing to do, however, looks to be I11 JOLT 27, setting up the S for huge bingos on row 15. I don't think I saw this possibility or it would have been a tough call. In a sim, it beats TE by 30 points, and boasts 12% wins vs about 3% for TE.
>Liz_Gottlin: GUV 1F VUG +24 394
>David_Weisberg: EIJLRSZ K3 SEZ +59 331
#note Sims best, and Quackle also sez it wins 1% of the time, but I have no idea how, given that it empties the bag and leaves me with only 6 tiles.
>Liz_Gottlin: BL I11 L.B +20 414
>David_Weisberg: AIIJLR G12 .AJ +11 342
#note Best despite the RAJA hook, as it's my only J play and she can play N5 SHADE, SHARD, SHADY, etc. anyway.
>Liz_Gottlin: ?ADHS 15E SHADy +35 449
#note Scored as 457 - 333. I overscored myself by 1 on RESOLUTE, but went overtime and lost 10 points.
