>Steve_Ozorio: AELNRTU 8C NEUTRAL +66 66
>Arie_Sinke: BDDENOO 9H BOD +14 14
#note No matter what, I have to play BOD or DOOB somewhere in this position. I liked the aggressive placement of BOD here - I'm behind and want to bingo. Quackle does not seem to occur, and wants me to play BOD at 7B or 9B for 13.
>Steve_Ozorio: AX F8 .AX +26 92
>Arie_Sinke: BDEENOY K5 BONEY +30 44
#note This play looks fine. There are multiple options available in the L column hooking to make BODY. Not much to choose from between them.
>Steve_Ozorio: AH J6 HA +28 120
>Arie_Sinke: ?AADEOU 11E EAU +17 61
#note This looks right.
>Steve_Ozorio: EHINT 12G THINE +14 134
>Arie_Sinke: ?ACDIOU H12 .UIC +27 88
#note This looks right.
>Steve_Ozorio: CEMR 14F CR.ME +17 151
>Arie_Sinke: ?AADIOO 10E O.O +15 103
#note This is fine.
>Steve_Ozorio: EW 11J EW +22 173
>Arie_Sinke: ?AADIIO L1 OIDIA +18 121
#note This appears to be my only viable option.
>Steve_Ozorio: DNPU 1K P.UND +24 197
>Arie_Sinke: ?AENPRT 15H .aTNAPER +91 212
#note This is my highest scoring and best bingo.
>Steve_Ozorio: ?AEFIIL 3E AIrFIEL. +62 259
>Arie_Sinke: EEIKORY 2F KOI +39 251
#note This looks best.
>Steve_Ozorio: AELOSST 4B SOLATES +84 343
>Arie_Sinke: EEILRVY O1 .ELIVERY +98 349
#note This is where I blow the game. LIVEYER A3 is 101, so three extra points, and it's also better for defense because it takes out ISOLATES, which Steve is more likely to use than I am.
>Steve_Ozorio: DEIJR A1 JERID +51 394
>Arie_Sinke: AGMNTTV 4N G. +3 352
#note Weird position. Unseen to me are FGOQRSSTWZ. Burning through a lot of vowels early on put this game on track to a weird pre-endgame. It seems unlikely for me to win without orchestrating some sort of Q stick, hence G. Quackle is not super valuable here, as it struggles with Q pre-endgames. I think this is probably forced, but I'm open to the possibility that something counterintuitive is best. It's possible that the G is valuable for GIFS and that I should block with another tile.
>Steve_Ozorio: NRW C3 W.RN +14 408
>Arie_Sinke: AGMOTTV H1 G... +24 376
#note I did not do a particularly good job at this endgame. I can pull within two with optimal play from both sides, which I did not achieve. The key to solving the endgame is to realize that there are only two spots to play the Z (FEZ/SEZ around the Es in AIrFIELD and NEUTRAL) - by blocking the one with J2 VET, I force Steve to play FEZ immediately or get stuck with the Z, allowing me to beat him to the GIFS spot. I incorrectly assumed that getting the 24 points for my G before he did would be of ultimate importance.
