>Euclid: CHIOORV H7 RIVO +14 14
#note Contemplated between CHOIR, RIVO and VOR during the game, decided to go for RIVO to limit Nigel's scoring power on the next move compared to CHOIR and to keep a better vowel-consonant balance compared to VOR. Quackle seems to agree with RIVO on simulation.
>Nigel_Richards: HZ 10F ZH. +35 35
>Euclid: CEHLNOO 11B LOCHE +31 45
#note Thought about CHOLO in the same spot keeping a better leave but it just gives away easy underlapping plays which would score well, therefore went for LOCHE instead.
>Nigel_Richards: EKTT B10 K.ETT +38 73
>Euclid: AAEGINO C9 GO.NIE +32 77
#note I could not really play on the left side of KLETT, GO(O)NIE scores best and takes out the dangerous spot to the left of KLETT.
>Nigel_Richards: OY E11 .OY +9 82
>Euclid: AAENPSW 14E AW +23 100
>Nigel_Richards: IOS 15D ISO +20 102
>Euclid: ?AENPRS 12E .PERANdS +84 184
#note Nigel would have played (ISO)PtERANS here, but of course I played something much simpler :)
Designated the blank as a D instead of a T because I thought it would slightly reduce Nigel's chance of a double-double.
>Nigel_Richards: AAEGILS 7E LAI.AGES +61 163
>Euclid: DFIMPTX K4 FIX.D +32 216
#note Didn't spot 8G F(I)XIT in the game.
>Nigel_Richards: AEIN L4 ANI.E +37 200
>Euclid: MPRTUUY M2 PUY +25 241
#note Decided to try and keep my tempo lead, not open up huge scoring spots and retain reasonable tiles at the same time.
>Nigel_Richards: CLT G5 CL.T +8 208
>Euclid: BDMMRTU 8K ..BUD +27 268
#note I think this is the critical move in this game. Originally I planned to play 6F MM but was blocked by CL(I)T. Quackle likes (DE)BUD on simulation, but is this really the correct play after Nigel just played CL(I)T? With this rack I really did not have many scoring options, and in the game my thought was that let me play (DE)BUD and go up by 50 in exchange of giving Nigel one turn on the floating U and D, and if he doesn't bingo immediately I would then deal with the floaters.
>Nigel_Richards: ?EELNRT O1 aNTLERE. +77 285
#note And was immediately punished. Suddenly I went from up 50 to being down 20 on this board.
>Euclid: IMMORTU E4 MOU.T +14 282
#note Probably should have just played something simple like N1 MU or N5 MUM(U), spent quite some time deciding between E4 MOU(L)T and E5 MO(L)T for some reason.
>Nigel_Richards: BO D4 OB +20 305
>Euclid: EGIMORV C3 GROVE +30 312
#note 15D (ISO)GRIV which I didn't see in the game would have been better, with the final O in hand I could always play in this spot hooking O(BO) later on.
>Nigel_Richards: ADEENRS N8 .NDERSEA +76 381
>Euclid: ADIIMTW O14 AW +32 344
>Nigel_Richards: FIQR I11 F.QIR +27 408
>Euclid: ADIIMTU J10 MA.I +28 372
#note Very low on time and threw away a lot of spread in this endgame.
>Nigel_Richards: AEJN N1 JA +36 444
>Euclid: DITU 15H U.D +12 384
>Nigel_Richards: EN K10 EN. +20 464
