>Arie_Sinke: BELOSUW 8H BELOW +28 28
#note This is pretty weak - ELBOW is a clear improvement to not put a vowel next to the DLS. Also BELOW and ELBOW both take an S so which one is hookable is a nonissue.
>Michael_Wolfberg: AEUV J6 VA.UE +18 18
>Arie_Sinke: EEMPPSU 7I P.P +21 49
#note These positions are brutally difficult. So many options and nothing stands out. It looks like leaves with two of the M and the P are a bit better than leaves with only one of them here. That makes sense; I'm probably not bingoing immediately anyway so I might as well maximize my medium term scoring potential. EMU at 9H for 19 or 9L (aggressive) for 13 look a bit better than the alternatives. PAP is not particularly good.
>Michael_Wolfberg: IIIIIII -IIII +0 18
>Arie_Sinke: EEGKMSU 11H MUSKEG +35 84
#note This is best.
>Michael_Wolfberg: ?BEIRRS N5 BIRdERS +76 94
>Arie_Sinke: EEEFGNU O6 FEE +28 112
#note This is best.
>Michael_Wolfberg: EJO 10F JOE +30 124
>Arie_Sinke: EGNNOUX 12D GUENON +24 136
#note This is best. There are no good X plays here. If I draw an A this is a good X setup.
>Michael_Wolfberg: DHO 13C DOH +22 146
>Arie_Sinke: AAILNOX 12K AX +42 178
#note Best.
>Michael_Wolfberg: AAAIIII -AAAIIII +0 146
>Arie_Sinke: AIILLNO 10L LA.I +17 195
#note This looks best. The board is becoming difficult to make a comeback on, even from a slight deficit.
>Michael_Wolfberg: GI M6 GI +15 161
>Arie_Sinke: ?IILNOO F10 .O. +10 205
#note I typically have no idea what to do in this sort of situation. Here I bide my time and plan to bingo if Mike opens the board up. What I didn't realize was that he had no intention of opening the board up. NOO G12 is interesting - the only hook tile is the N, which I have. It might have been good if I were behind.
>Michael_Wolfberg: D 11E D. +20 181
>Arie_Sinke: ?IILNNO I7 ..N +9 214
#note Again, no idea what to do. I continue to bide my time and not open anything up. I'm still ahead so I'm okay with the board being totally dead.
>Michael_Wolfberg: ATV 14B VAT +19 200
>Arie_Sinke: ?EIILNO I11 ..I +4 218
#note Maybe I should have played IN instead. I knew Mike had a T and a W because of an ovedraw, so UNI sets up too many ways for him to score well and vault into the lead on a totally dead board.
>Michael_Wolfberg: DITZ 14G DITZ +38 238
>Arie_Sinke: ?EILNOS 15E LIONS +29 247
#note I kind of have to do this - fishing is a waste of time on this board. I believe the only ways to escape the bottom triangle at this point are front extenstions of either VALUES (REVALUES, DEVALUES, OUTVALUES, etc.) or of GI (RAGI, YAGI, etc.) and if Mike scores enough around M9 to take the lead I may be forced to make one of those plays to allow myself to bingo with the blank.
>Michael_Wolfberg: W G9 W. +9 247
>Arie_Sinke: ?ADEHNT 9M H. +20 267
#note Huge break that could put me into a six pass situation if Mike cant get an extension to VALUES or GI.
>Michael_Wolfberg: EILORSY K11 ..Y +10 257
>Arie_Sinke: ?AADENT K7 ..T +8 275
#note Not doing DEVALUES yet.
>Michael_Wolfberg: L C13 ..L +4 261
>Arie_Sinke: ?AACDEN -C +0 275
#note Keeping my rack value low in case of a six pass, but also keeping the D for DEVALUES if I need it.
>Michael_Wolfberg: ACIIORS -ACIIO +0 261
>Arie_Sinke: ?ACDENQ -CQ +0 275
>Michael_Wolfberg: AR M4 RA.. +9 270
>Arie_Sinke: ?ADENRR L3 RAD +18 293
#note I liked this because it seems to optimize score and leave as well as possible - it does give back TRAD, though, which on a board that is still almost dead may not be totally ideal. My play does poorly in the sim - DAN L3, which is extremely annoying to respond to, does well.
>Michael_Wolfberg: AT 3K A.T +18 288
>Arie_Sinke: ?ENQRRT K2 Q.T +15 308
#note This is clearly called for.
>Michael_Wolfberg: II -II +0 288
>Arie_Sinke: ?EENNOR -EN +0 308
#note Exchanging is called for here. Trying to totally kill the board will always backfire - he can score well in the remaning corners of the board and tie the score.
>Michael_Wolfberg: OT 4I OT... +5 293
>Arie_Sinke: ?CEMNOR 5C iNCOMER +72 380
#note Or ROMaNCE.
>Michael_Wolfberg: AFIIIUY G5 .I +4 297
>Arie_Sinke: ACEFIUY D4 U.IFACE +26 406
#note Almost no time left in the endgame due to the extraordinarily drawn out nature of the game. I was smart enough to realize that UNIFY wasn't guaranteed to go out in two but not quite smart enough to realize that UNCIA/UNICA is a higher scoring out in two (I go out with FEY N1 for 25.)
>Michael_Wolfberg: AEEINRS 8A SAR.N +15 312
>Arie_Sinke: Y 3K ...Y +7 413
