>Arie_Sinke: HNNOPRT 8H NORTH +24 24
#note This looks best.
>Mack_Meller: CEEILPT 7G CEP +22 22
>Arie_Sinke: ?BGHNPU 9F PUGH +31 55
#note This looks best.
>Mack_Meller: AEILLTV 10B VILLA +24 46
>Arie_Sinke: ?BEINNO 11F pINBONE +70 125
#note This play isn't so hot - several better bingos are available. kNITBONE K5 for 86 is the clear best play, and BONNIEs/NORTHS also scores 6 more points. I had forgotten that they had added BONNIEs to the dictionary and thought it was still only BENISON. I correctly eschewed cHINBONE and sHINBONE.
>Mack_Meller: EIIRSTY 10J YETI +32 78
>Arie_Sinke: ?AAGMTU C5 pATAG.UM +63 188
#note I again miss a better bingo - GUmMATA 12B is 80.
>Mack_Meller: DGIORRS 12L GIRD +24 102
#note MM: Thought about 8A DRAG, but wanted more volatility at this kind of deficit.
>Arie_Sinke: IINOOUZ O8 ZOOI. +45 233
#note I feel like this has to be a bit better than ZIN B6 for 67 - it blocks a very significant line.
>Mack_Meller: EEFORSX D2 FOREXES +101 203
>Arie_Sinke: IJNORRU B1 JUNIOR +44 277
#note This looks best.
>Mack_Meller: DFNNOST D12 OFT +20 223
#note MM: Really tough turn -- nothing stands out here. Thought about INFO at G11 or M12, and NUFF at 2A. INFO at M12 seemed way too likely to be blocked with a big score, and after INFO at G11 Arie will clearly infer I have an S and it shouldn't be too hard to block with a 2 or 3 down to H15. I felt I needed the extra points with OFT over NUFF and ENNEADS seemed like a reasonable enough possibility to draw with all those As and Es out that I went for OFT.
>Arie_Sinke: AACDORS H11 .ARCO +24 301
#note I didn't love making this play and setting up a few new floaters, but it's not really that bad - I set up the C and the O and take out the T. The only other option is OCTAD 14B, which scores the same and keeps a slightly better leave but creates a big new line for sevens. I prefer my play.
>Mack_Meller: ABDENNS 15G N.SEBAND +62 285
>Arie_Sinke: AADQRSW 14J WAD +35 336
#note I spent awhile on this play. No clue what to do but this seems like a reasonable compromise. I could also cash in on NOSEBANDS immediately or bail out the Q immediately. This scores points while retaining options.
>Mack_Meller: AEEILLT 1A A.I +30 315
>Arie_Sinke: AKMQRST 4A Q. +21 357
#note This bingos with 8 of the 18 unseen tiles (E gives me MARKETS, A gives me AMTAKS, and S gives me OSTMARKS 3D.) That's why I opted for the fishy placement of QI in lieu of the blocky placement (M9) which prevents most of those bingos. My play is definitely the best equity play but I'm not sure it's best for sealing up the win. If Mack has something with NORTHS I could be in trouble. I just think there are too many ways for Mack to steal the win if I play the blocky QI and then he immediately hits NOSEBANDS.
>Mack_Meller: DEELLTY 8A LY..E +24 339
#note MM: EYED at E2 cuts the deficit to 6, but that didn't seem promising with Arie on turn and me keeping LLT. Looks like a tossup in a sim.
>Arie_Sinke: AIKMRST O14 IS +42 399
#note I'm in great shape here, but TRAIKS M3 for 39 may be a better disaster aversion play. After TRAIKS, I basically force Mack to either bingo immediately or lose - it leaves one in the bag so a fish seems destined to fail. After IS there are a lot of situations in which Mack can steal the win, plus it leaves NORTHS open for sevens ending in S.
>Mack_Meller: DEEELTW 2D .EW +17 356
#note MM: Considered this, E3 WED, and J1 TWEEDLER*. E1 TEWED gets me to within 22 but empties the bag and is almost never winning unless I somehow draw bingos in 2 spots which is super unlikely. After WED I felt like Arie could just block with a play across from 7K and I wouldn't be able to bingo or outrun given my 30 point deficit. I was like 95% sure TWEEDLER* was just WELTERED, and I knew with emptying the bag that Arie would challenge if he needed to. FEW releis mostly on drawing the S and another tile that gives me a 7, which isn't very likely but I think it's about as good a shot as I can get. As it turns out, Arie would've likely accepted TWEEDLER* as he could've bingoed out with MARKETS for a sure win whereas challenging risks losing, so that would've saved me a bit of spread.
>Arie_Sinke: AEKMRST 1E MARKETS +98 497
#note Best bingo - that worked out very well.
>Mack_Meller: DEELTUV 13F TU.D +8 364
#note MM: J5 EVER is 7 better since it's tough for him to block LUTED.
>Arie_Sinke: AEI 7G ...E +10 507
#note Blocking LEVER is the right idea but I net an extra spread point by doing it with AE 7K instead.
>Mack_Meller: EELV H1 .EVEL +13 377
