>Don_Rathberger: FOOPS 8D POOFS +26 26
>Arie_Sinke: AEEIKOR D8 .OKIER +24 24
#note There are several reasonable options here, and this play looks like it's a bit behind the best few options. Playing parallel to POOFS looks like it has value defensively - plays like POKIER create a lot of floaters and options - and the best simming plays are AKEE, KEA, and RAKEE under POOFS, which score a bit more and give back few options without leaving great leaves. I am not 100% convinced that those plays are the way to go and would probably opt for OAKIER 7G for 24 in a redo. It's the top play for static eval and scores the same as POKIER while keeping a lone E instead of AE. PEKOE instead of POKIER also looks good to me.
>Don_Rathberger: ACDE 10B CA.ED +22 48
>Arie_Sinke: AEEHILX 11F EXHALE +35 59
#note Don't know here; Quackle loves HEX C12 for the same score but the high scoring responses to that play are so easy. I think I am probably more favored by EXHALE, but the margin by which HEX wins the sim is giving me second thoughts.
>Don_Rathberger: IMN 12F NIM +31 79
>Arie_Sinke: DINORST L8 TONDI +32 91
#note Quackle would prefer if I just fished off the D with EXHALED, which looks like it bingos 85% of the time. It's close. TONDI is the low variance play here.
>Don_Rathberger: AOP M8 APO +19 98
>Arie_Sinke: ENNRRSU C2 RUNNERS +77 168
#note Best bingo.
>Don_Rathberger: ?AGIIRS N2 RAISInG +72 170
>Arie_Sinke: AEEILTU 7G EAU +13 181
#note There are several reasonable options; I went for the one that optimized leave while giving up a few points. This is again not a sim winner - Quackle likes LIEU in the same spot a bit better - which makes sense to me; AET is comparable to EILT and LIEU scores a bit more - and some odd choices that I don't care for like CUTIE and TUILE N10.
>Don_Rathberger: EISVW N10 WIVES +52 222
>Arie_Sinke: ?EILLTT 5H LITtLE.T +64 245
#note It would probably be worth it to get a few extra points with LITTLEs K2 for 66 instead of 64. My play does have some defensive merit - obstructs a few floaters and makes the remaining ones in the north easy to deal with.
>Don_Rathberger: EGILRTY O13 RIG +16 238
>Arie_Sinke: CDFLMOT 2B C.OFT +24 269
#note I missed a clearly better alternative here - COMTE M1 for 30.
>Don_Rathberger: AEU 1E EAU +10 248
>Arie_Sinke: BDELMTY 1D B...TY +49 318
#note Clearly best.
>Don_Rathberger: EEZ O1 ZEE +40 288
>Arie_Sinke: DDEJLMQ I4 Q. +11 329
#note I thought it would be prudent to play the Q and obstruct 3F-L here. I saw a possibility to lose the game if Don bingoed with ATT and I couldn't play the Q. Quackle says I should just take the points with something like MELDED or JEED at 6B - I could get outrun and lose, especially if 6B gets blocked, and Don could also bingo through the L in EXHALED, after which I would want to be within outrunning distantce.
>Don_Rathberger: OW M3 WO. +26 314
>Arie_Sinke: DDEJLMR 6B M.LDED +25 354
#note This looks right - no harm in holding on to the J here.
>Don_Rathberger: GINRU B10 .URING +18 332
>Arie_Sinke: ABJNOTY 4A JA.NY +46 400
#note This is fine.
>Don_Rathberger: AAHV 2I AVA +19 351
>Arie_Sinke: BOT J10 B.OT +12 412
#note This is fine.
>Arie_Sinke: (H) +8 420
