>Arie_Sinke: ABCFUVX 8G FAUX +28 28
#note I was aware that the leave after FAUX was extremely poor but thought it would be worth it for the extra points. Quackle doesn't like FAUX, preferring the setup position of FUB (8F), but it's close. VAC is also an option; it's an extremely annoying play to respond to if you go second. It's close.
>Greg_Michaels: AEINRTW 9B TAWNIER +70 70
>Arie_Sinke: BCCGITV 8A GIB +24 52
#note This is better than exchanging.
>Greg_Michaels: EEMM 7I MEME +27 97
>Arie_Sinke: ACCETVV 6H VAV +43 95
#note VAV is a slight improvement over CAVE in the same spot for 47 to get rid of the Vs.
>Greg_Michaels: EILN 8L LINE +18 115
>Arie_Sinke: CCENOTU 10H COUNT +14 109
#note Tough position - nothing scores much without making an unacceptable sacrifice in leave (CONNECT, etc.) UNCO E8 for 12 is the sim winner - kind of comparable to my play but it keeps an improved leave (CENT vs. CE) and bingos a lot more. ECU 10G for 16 also looks good - CNOT is an okay leave and it sets up the T. COUNT isn't terrible.
>Greg_Michaels: ?BIQS M10 SQuIB +38 153
>Arie_Sinke: ACEGOST E4 COAGE.TS +94 203
#note Best bingo.
>Greg_Michaels: JRY 12L J.RY +34 187
>Arie_Sinke: ?AAHOOY 7B HOA.Y +25 228
#note ACHOO 4D for 22 looks like a slightlty better play. It gives up 3 points but keeps AY? instead of AO?, which is much better for non-bingo scoring.
>Greg_Michaels: AELORTU N1 OUTLEAR. +70 257
>Arie_Sinke: ?AIOORZ 1M Z.O +36 264
#note It looks like I may have overestimated the value of taking out the O here. All the best simming plays leave the O alone (AZOIC 4A for 34, ZOIC 4B for 30, ZOmBI 14J for 70.) ZOmBI doesn't seem quite worth spending the blank compared to AZOIC. I honestly think my play is probably okay; I'm likely to bingo soon and the O is one of the spots (other than SQuIBS) where Greg is likely to hit me hardest. ZOO really constricts the northeast quadrant.
>Greg_Michaels: DGIN O11 D.ING +30 287
>Arie_Sinke: ?AILLOR 4E .OLLyRIA +70 334
#note Several bingos are available through the C - all are comparable.
>Greg_Michaels: IK 3L KI. +20 307
>Arie_Sinke: DEEEIRS 15H EIDERS +40 374
#note Quackle, predictably, wants me to fish. I prefer playing this - if Greg bingos after my play, I could probably still pull it off, but if I fish and he bingos with SQuIBS immediately (which is definitely a possibility - KIT might be an attempt to set up a second spot for the S) I could be in big trouble - if I bingo back there's no guarantee that I outrun. After EIDERS, he's more likely to bingo, as I've created a spot for sevens that don't end in S, but I will have a tempo advantage and will likely be able to outrun most of his bingos.
>Greg_Michaels: DHI 14I HID +22 329
>Arie_Sinke: AAEEPTW 6A AW +31 405
#note The only really likely spot for bingos by Greg is with SKA. AW should outrun most of those bingos - trying to block is futile.
>Greg_Michaels: PTU 13G TUP +20 349
>Arie_Sinke: AEEOPST B6 ....E +13 418
#note Fishing is the right idea, but WHITE is the wrong way to do it - it sets up too much. BEN 14M scores about the same while bingoing with the same tiles.
>Greg_Michaels: DEFNNOR A10 FONDER +38 387
>Arie_Sinke: AEEOPST D9 .EEPS +24 442
#note SAPOTA or PESETA at A1 for 27 would be better.
>Greg_Michaels: N B6 .....N +14 401
>Greg_Michaels: (AOT) +6 407
