>Max_Panitch: ENZ 8G ZEN +24 24
>Arie_Sinke: AEIJORS 9C RIOJA +26 26
#note This looks a bit better than the low scoring fish of AJI.
>Max_Panitch: GHINTTU 7H HUTTING +71 95
>Arie_Sinke: EGMOSSY 10D SMOG +39 65
#note Sim seems to think that it pays to leave off the S and just play MOG instead (not by a huge margin, but a meaningful margin of about 2 points.) I am not sure why this is and am not totally persuaded. It may be because I am likely to benefit from underlaps next turn after Max probably plays at 8A-D for the maximum number of points, and I also set up a few words (DIS, WIS, VIS) for 8A plays that I don't have with SMOG. Not sure though, I would think that the double S is usually not worth much and taking the 3 extra points to get rid of it would pay.
>Max_Panitch: EIVW 8A VIEW +54 149
>Arie_Sinke: ??EELSY K4 wES.ErLY +86 151
#note A few really tough nines are better than this - awES(OM)ELY E5 for 109 and EYELas(HE)S H1 for 105.
>Max_Panitch: AAHLO 11A ALOHA +36 185
>Arie_Sinke: EEINOOO M3 IONO.E +12 163
#note This looks like a slight improvement over the other plays and exchanges.
>Max_Panitch: FKNU B10 F.UNK +40 225
>Arie_Sinke: AEEOOPS 15A PSOAE +37 200
#note This looks best.
>Max_Panitch: BDILNR 5E BRINDL. +20 245
>Arie_Sinke: EELNOTX A11 .XE +37 237
#note I missed XENON H1, which I would have definitely played if I had seem it, but AXE sims slightly better. Apparently I bingo quite a bit with ELNOT and XENON creates openings that don't benefit me.
>Max_Panitch: EFMPRU C2 PERFUM.. +36 281
>Arie_Sinke: ELNORST 14D LORNEST +65 302
#note This sims very close to the more defensive ENTRESOL 3C, which gives up 5 points but doesn't set anything up. I have now burned through all the S's and blanks in 7 turns, scoring 302 points, and I'm barely ahead.
>Max_Panitch: AAERTTU 13H TUATERA +73 354
>Arie_Sinke: CDDEGQT N12 Q.T +24 326
#note Things aren't looking good here. I basically give up with this play - I figure I'm almost certain to lose and try to save some spread. Quackle suggests GET 15H for 30, keeping a very bad leave (CDDQ) that might allow me to continue to score decently if I draw AI and maybe steal a few rare wins.
>Max_Panitch: AAIV H1 AVIA. +27 381
>Arie_Sinke: CDDEGOY D8 ....Y +28 354
#note WISHY isn't even good. This is a tough position for Max to challenge anything, obviously - if he accepts it he's in great shape. Not sure if WISHY is good for spread - I could also play COY or CODE at B1/D1 for comparable scores, but those plays would empty the bag.
>Max_Panitch: ADIIR O8 RADII +33 414
>Arie_Sinke: CDDEGOW 15H WE +36 390
#note This is a poor play. In my defense, I didn't see CEIBA. I think I had lost my will to win or preserve spread at this point.
>Max_Panitch: BCEI 1D CEIB. +12 426
>Max_Panitch: (CDDGO) +20 446
