>Jason_Li: CEGIKWX 8F WICK +26 26
>Arie_Sinke: EHIINOU -HIIOU +0 0
#note This is a tough position. Exchanging wins the sim. However, Jason's unconventional placement of WICK suggests that he's setting something up, so blocking may be more beneficial than usual. None of my blocks are particularly good, though - best I can do is probably HUIC H5 for 9, which doesn't help much if he's setting up the X (though it would likely cost him a few points and cost me nothing.) I think I should probably just exchange here, but it's possible that EN isn't my best leave. Quackle really likes EHIN and EIN (EIN doesn't make much sense to me.)
>Jason_Li: AAEGISX 7F AX +39 65
>Arie_Sinke: AELNNOV 6D NAV +31 31
#note Best.
>Jason_Li: AEEGINS G6 E..NG +21 86
#note #macondo leaves
>Arie_Sinke: ELNOOQT E5 Q.T +34 65
#note Best.
>Jason_Li: ADEIORS J2 ROADIES +76 162
>Arie_Sinke: EILNNOO H3 ENOLI. +28 93
#note Best.
>Jason_Li: ?AEIPRZ 10G .RIZ +34 196
>Arie_Sinke: ALNNOOR J10 .ONAL +16 109
#note If this were Collins I would have a spot for NONORAL. Lots of options are close here, including my play, but the one play that looks a little bit better than the alternatives is NANO 11I, which scores 21 (a bit more than the alternatives ) and also forks the board by creating two hooks.
>Jason_Li: ?AEEPVY H10 .EPAVE +42 238
>Arie_Sinke: DEEHNOR 5G H.D.EN +39 148
#note Probably worth it to play HOODED in the same spot instead for the better leave. I liked creating an S hook with HODDEN but it gives up too much in leave. The other option is HORDE, which gives up a few points but creates a hook that I actually have (D).
>Jason_Li: ?AGISWY M5 SWAYInG +77 315
>Arie_Sinke: CEGIORR 8L G.RO +30 178
#note Best.
>Jason_Li: ?BDMTUY K11 YUM +32 347
>Arie_Sinke: BCEIMOR 3B MICROB. +32 210
#note This looks comparable to BICE L12 for 33. I liked creating possibilities to throw open the left half of the board here. Blocking the E doesn't bother me because there is already an E at 15H.
>Jason_Li: ?ABDFST O7 B.DyFATS +64 411
>Jason_Li: ?ABDFST -- -64 347
#note What can I say, I decided it was one word.
>Arie_Sinke: DELOTUU D1 DU.T +18 228
#note I'm not actually setting anything up with this - Jason can easily block with FOB or FA (which he did) but at least I can ensure that the M remains open for one more turn, block his best play of FAB 2A, and hope to get really lucky. That being said, DUCE looks a bit better than DUCT - it looks like OLTU is a marginally better leave than ELOU on this board and bingos slightly more often.
>Jason_Li: ?ABDFST F2 F.B +16 363
>Arie_Sinke: EELOOTU 1A ELU.E +18 246
#note Giving up here. Jason is likely to bingo very soon. It may pay to play OUTDO instead and keep a slightly better leave overall (though EEL is weak with 4 Es unseen.)
>Jason_Li: ?ADSTTU O8 .UTDATeS +77 440
>Arie_Sinke: EFLOOPT G12 OF +22 268
#note OOF N10 is probably a marginal improvement - scores the same but sheds an O, which is likely a slight liability here. It also increases the probability that I draw an H for PHENOLIC.
>Jason_Li: AEIIJNS L3 JA.E +27 467
#note 15K AJIE(S)
>Arie_Sinke: EHLOPRT H1 PH...... +45 313
#note I was hoping to get this pretty much all game - it finally happened.
>Jason_Li: EIINRST B3 .INISTER +64 531
>Arie_Sinke: AEILORT 15A AEROLIT. +77 390
#note Only bingo.
>Arie_Sinke: (EO) +4 394
