>Samuel_Kaplan: IIOOSTT 8G TOIT +8 8
#note I liked doing this with an S in hand; with some other tile as the 7th one, I would have considered exchanging.
>Edwin_Roth: AELUV 9C VALUE +16 16
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AEIIOS J6 IO.A +6 14
#note Definitely wasn't willing to do E6 AIO(L)I. I(L)IA is slightly preferred because of the potential to keep drawing double I racks, but I thought this would let me score more with my bingo next turn with -SIVE bingoes should Ed block 2x2s. I also thought keeping EIS? bingoes slightly more often than EOS?. #questionable?
>Edwin_Roth: AWX K9 WAX +31 47
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?EIISTT H8 .STEITIs +83 97
#note Right idea, and I'm glad I saw someting on Column H, maybe do (O)STEITIc instead. #findingsmall
>Edwin_Roth: ABENRU E5 NEBU.AR +36 83
#note Nice play.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEORRR J11 ORRA +15 112
#note F5 ORE was too aggressive for my liking, and the same goes for F4 RARE with 2 Us left. I guess D1 ROARER could be OK after he just drew 6 tiles, but this has decent defensive merit after all the other options are so close to each other in win %.
>Edwin_Roth: ACO L11 OCA +20 103
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEEEGLR F3 GLEDE +24 136
#note I efinitely preferred this over F2 GLEED or F2 GREED. I looked for a while and saw RELEDGE* and didn't feel that Ed would buy that.
>Edwin_Roth: LOPTU D2 PLUOT +21 124
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEEGMRS 6H RE.MAGES +63 199
#note 13A MEAGRES(T) was a miss, although I'm very shocked Row 15 has been open for as long as it's been.
>Edwin_Roth: BINOV O1 BOVIN. +36 160
>Edwin_Roth: BINOV -- -36 124
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEGJOPR O1 PODGE. +36 235
#note So as I specified his partial rack of BINOV, I couldn't imagine he kept a D. I wanted to block the S very badly while finding a way to set up my J for next turn knowing that if I left it open, it would be a nuisance all game. I wasn't worried about Row 15 being open at this point knowing he couldn't have possibly missed a bingo. That's why I passed up M3 JOG(G)ED and L2 JEOP(A)RD. However, I got away with an unintentional phony of my own because only HODGEPODGE is good. That's 2 wins and 1 loss in the Word Wars department for me so far.
>Edwin_Roth: BH 10D B.H +33 157
>Samuel_Kaplan: AIJKRSY M13 YAK +30 265
#note Shame that I had such scoring potential, but there's not much to do on this board. Even with INOV still on his rack, there's no way that I can't outrun him at this point.
>Edwin_Roth: INOVW M1 VOWIN. +26 183
#note Misscored as 28
>Samuel_Kaplan: DIIJMRS N11 JISM +40 305
#note Now would be a great time to take out an extremely high scoring bingo lane Ed can use to get back in the game. The initial valuation and the sim really enjoy this one.
>Edwin_Roth: CD I5 C.D. +14 197
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEINRUY 2B YI. +16 321
#note I tried getting a little too fancy trying to go for a Q bingo and rack up spread. It's just too unlikely at this point even with that open S STILL somehow being there. So yea, probably just play it more standard with YUP or K4 YUM. #greedy
>Edwin_Roth: FI O14 IF +20 217
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEFHNRU L4 HE.RD +34 355
#note Well those bingo hopes were dashed but I have nice scoring tiles now which should help me outrun just fine.
>Edwin_Roth: Z 5C Z... +13 230
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?AEFNNU 3C F.A. +26 381
#note 6B FA(TED) would have been 2 more with the same tiles. That S is STILL open!
>Edwin_Roth: IQ G12 QI +26 256
#note This was misscored as 24.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?EENNNU 8L .UNE +15 396
#note And that draw was crappy enough for the open S to become a nonfactor, because LORNEST doesn't play for him.
>Edwin_Roth: ELNORST B4 LORN +20 276
#note 14D TONS(I)L(A)R is a cool play for him!
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?ENN N2 NE +17 413
#note I intentionally did not go out with 13C sENN(IT) knowing he had 3 seconds left on his clock and was going to lose 10 points accordingly. D8 N(AB)Es would have been better than my move to prevent his highest scoring out play. #endgamesmall
>Edwin_Roth: EST D9 ..ETS +16 292
#note Crazier things have happened...but another win is another win and I can win the tournament with a win in Round 7. Final score was 413-284 as Ed lost 10 points on time.
>Edwin_Roth: (N?) +2 294
