>Arie_Sinke: BGIRUUU -BGIUUU +0 0
#note Basic opening exchange rack here.
>Anna_Miransky: EEEEEEE -EEE +0 0
>Arie_Sinke: DEGLPRV -GLPV +0 0
#note This might be right, but it's questionable. DELPR is a more developed leave, and it may pay to just take the points with PERV.
>Anna_Miransky: EEEEEEE -EEE +0 0
>Arie_Sinke: DDEEIOR 8D DIODE +18 18
#note For the second time in the tournament, my opponent and I begin a game with four consecutive opening exchanges. DIODE looks best.
>Anna_Miransky: AX 7D AX +21 21
>Arie_Sinke: ELNORRT C3 LONER +23 41
#note Several options sim close. NEROL and ENROL are basically almost identical to this. I could also play LORNER, snagging two extra points but spending the R and making the leave a bit weaker, or LOR, sacrificing 8 points to score only 15 but leaving the more developed leave of ENRT.
>Anna_Miransky: ?CGINNR 4A CR.wNING +80 101
>Arie_Sinke: AEIRRTV A4 .ARVER +33 74
#note This sims a bit behind the top choices. ACTIVE A3 sims sell, possibly because of REACTIVE? VIRGA H1 keeps a much more balanced leave at the expense of only 6 points, and sims better than plays like CARVER and CRAVE/CAVER/CARVE. Those plays sim better than CARVER; spending the R for 3 points was probably a misevaluation.
>Anna_Miransky: AGIO 3H AGIO +10 111
>Arie_Sinke: AHIIJTT 2K HAJI +33 107
#note This is fine.
>Anna_Miransky: CELW 1H CLEW +36 147
>Arie_Sinke: EINRSTT O2 STINTER +89 196
#note Best bingo.
>Anna_Miransky: NU M2 .UN +20 167
>Arie_Sinke: AFORSSY 9C FOSSA +33 229
#note I spent a long time convincing myself to make this play, and ultimately decided it was worth it for the points and defense. I block a few bingos, but don't exactly kill the board, and the defensive merits of the play are dubious at best. I didn't see WHOOF and WHOOFS at K1, which look substantially better, but even the simple FOYS I5 looks like a slight improvement over my play.
>Anna_Miransky: AW 6E AW +24 191
>Arie_Sinke: ?HIORUY N7 YOU +13 242
#note This looks weak but it does relatively well in the sim. YOU 10G for the same score sims a bit better; it creates a good hook for the case R, which I have. YO 10A is also probably a bit better, but I didn't think of CARVERY.
>Anna_Miransky: DEPT D7 ...PTED +22 213
>Arie_Sinke: ?AHIKRV 5J HAIK +37 279
#note Looks best.
>Anna_Miransky: AABEMNS 10G BASEMAN +69 282
>Arie_Sinke: ?GIRUVZ 6I VIG +19 298
#note This is fine; wins the sim. ZIG in the same spot for 6 more sims a bit worse, which illustrates how bad the V is. GUV 11L for 12 is okay but it sets up too much and sacrifices too many points to be worth it to get rid of the U.
>Anna_Miransky: FILO 11J FILO +31 313
>Arie_Sinke: ?EOPRUZ 10B ZE. +39 337
#note I feel like the game is spiraling out of control here; I'm low on time and I'm behind in a game where I was leading a few turns ago. I miss a difficult bingo here - DOUZePER 13D for 82. It's not the best play - I also missed PREZ 12L for 63, which looks better. I just went for something that looked like a decent equity play quickly and tried to preserve time for the preendgame and endgame.
>Anna_Miransky: DIOTY 13B OD.ITY +30 343
>Arie_Sinke: ?EOPRUU E3 U. +2 339
#note This is a poor play, and it costs me the game. I didn't realize that there were two spots for Anna to play the Q, and I thought this was a stick. Something simple like POUR 12L will win 100% of the time.
>Anna_Miransky: EELMQTT N1 Q. +11 354
>Arie_Sinke: ?EEOPRU 11B aU.O +22 361
#note I miss my out bingo of EUPhROE. Not only that, any play that blocks METTLE 12G wins. I found an out in two but it doesn't score enough to do the job.
>Anna_Miransky: BEELMTT 12G METTLE +42 396
#note A great find by Anna, the only winning move.
>Arie_Sinke: EEPR 2F PERE +23 384
#note I played poorly in this game and it cost me a win and the chance to pick up rating in the tournament.
>Arie_Sinke: (B) +6 390
