>Arie_Sinke: EFGILOT 8G FOG +14 14
#note FOG wins the sim by a hair over FOGIE. I somehow overlooked FOGIE and would have surely played it if I had seen it. This is Arie's annotation, for Jason's, see this link: https://www.cross-tables.com/annotated.php?u=41489#0#
>Jason_Li: EEEHVWX 9F VEX +29 29
>Arie_Sinke: AEEFILT 7H FATE +25 39
#note This is why I hate shorter openings - I feel like I'm compelled to break up a good rack for a few points. Quackle suggests FA 7H instead, probably for defense, by a significant margin over my play, and I believe it. I didn't consider FA.
>Jason_Li: BEEHQUW 6I WEB +25 54
#note Over HEW as this gives back less hooks
>Arie_Sinke: EEILNOR 8K ELOIN +23 62
#note This is probably fine; wins a sim. ER is a very good two tile leave.
>Jason_Li: AEHJQTU N6 QU.TE +36 90
>Arie_Sinke: ?DELRRT J5 R.. +3 65
#note This is probably not the right idea. VEXER 9F gets 25 points and is probably the way to go. With the blank, I'll bingo eventually, even if it's not next turn. FER G8 sims a bit better than my play; I didn't like it because the opening it creates is so blockable but it probably has some merit. DoR(BEE)TLE K3 for 44 is a nice find that looks a bit better than my play, though not as good as VEXER.
>Jason_Li: AHIIJKL M10 HAJI +33 123
#note Last play suggests no S so this is fine.
>Arie_Sinke: ?ADELRT 4F ALERTeD +70 135
#note I liked playing further to the left here to set up fewer parallels. DARTLEs 14G scores 3 more but isn't worth it.
>Jason_Li: AEIKLRS H1 LIK. +24 147
#note Missed 14J KAISER, ouch.
>Arie_Sinke: NORRSYZ F2 ZO. +32 167
#note ZONARY F1 is a substantially better play. This is second best.
>Jason_Li: ADEIMRS 14G ADMIRES +77 224
>Arie_Sinke: BENRRSY 15E BYRE +38 205
#note This looks a bit better than all of the alternatives that play in the same general area of the board (BEY, BERRY, RYNDS, etc.)
>Jason_Li: AIINPPU 12J PUN.I +28 252
#note 13C PINUP is slightly better
>Arie_Sinke: ENNORSS 1H .ORNNESS +77 282
#note Best bingo.
>Jason_Li: AADGIOP 3K PAGOD +24 276
#note Last blank and S will be key. Either ADAGIO on the bottom left side of the board are better plays.
>Arie_Sinke: ?CEENSU J10 CU. +13 295
#note This play isn't very good... CENSUrE 13A is available. I looked for sevens but making the blank an R didn't occur to me - I think I gave up too soon and happily decided to play the waiting game. If I am playing the waiting game I might as well have some fun and play PEEBEEN K3 for a lot of points. This play looks worse than numerous options. I was just feeling good about my position with the last S and the blank and giddily slapped down an easy play too fast.
>Jason_Li: AAADITW 13C AWAIT +22 298
>Arie_Sinke: ?EELNST O10 NESTLE +43 338
#note I looked for 5 tile overlaps but couldn't come up with rELENTS 12A. I correctly decided that NESTLE was better than any of the low scoring bingos through the A, but rELENTS seems worth it, if barely. It is also unclear that NESTLE is better than PEEBEEN, which retains the S to hit PUNJIS next time if I don't bingo.
>Jason_Li: ACDEORT 3D CR.A. +15 313
#note I don't see how any of the 12A plays win. This feels like my best shot with a blank draw.
>Arie_Sinke: ?AGINUV D1 VI.UGNAs +84 422
#note So lucky
>Jason_Li: DEIOOOT 12B ODE +21 334
#note The only play that guarantees an out next turn is C10 IOD(A)TE.
>Arie_Sinke: HIMY 10G MY +32 454
#note Best.+
>Jason_Li: EIOOT E5 OOT +16 350
>Arie_Sinke: HI C7 HI +20 474
#note Best.
>Arie_Sinke: (EI) +4 478
