>Maxim_Panitch: MORST 8D MORTS +20 20
>Arie_Sinke: GINOQVY 9C QI +25 25
#note I thought this was a pretty obvious choice, but there may be some merit to hanigng onto the Q here. GNOVY is a really poor leave that will likely lead to lower scoring plays in the medium term, whereas if I keep the Q I may be able to bail it out next turn and be done with it. GROVY F7 for 20, leaving INQ, wins a sim by a small margin over QI; it hopes to play the Q next turn and move on to better things. MOVING D8 is a similar idea, scoring more but sacrificing by keeping the Y along with the Q.
>Maxim_Panitch: ?CDENNS 10D SCaNNED +68 88
>Arie_Sinke: EGINOVY E10 .OVEY +26 51
#note This looks clearly best.
>Maxim_Panitch: ABEEOTX H1 TEABOXE. +110 198
>Arie_Sinke: FGGINNN 3G F.NNING +32 83
#note This is clearly best, although I did momentarily wonder if FANGING was good (it isn't.)
>Maxim_Panitch: AFHL 9I HALF +26 224
>Arie_Sinke: DEGISWZ L1 ZI.G +48 131
#note This sims about comparably with WIZES 15A for 68 (within a point). With a deficit to make up, I really think I need to keep the S hook on COVEY in play here. I also looked at ZINGED in the sam spot, but I didn't really like it - I feel like I bingo a lot more when I keep DESW versus SW (and the sim bears this conjecture out - 22% versus 10%). I think I give myself the best odds with my play. My goal is to keep things wide open here.
>Maxim_Panitch: EHMNP 5D PHEN.M +26 250
>Arie_Sinke: ADEEISW 6F WA.ED +47 178
#note AZIDE looks like a slightly better spread play, particularly since it takes out the high scoring Z spot - I really think I need to optimize my bingo chances here, so I prefer the play that keeps EIS. I did seriously consider playing AZIDE.
>Maxim_Panitch: IOR 1L .ORI +39 289
>Arie_Sinke: AEGIRSS 15C GASSIER +91 269
#note Best bingo.
>Maxim_Panitch: PU 4E UP +17 306
>Arie_Sinke: AEILTUV 13E .LUVIATE +63 332
#note Only bingo.
>Maxim_Panitch: AKOR 8L OKRA +33 339
>Arie_Sinke: ADDEIIO M11 OIDIA +38 370
#note Best by far - suddenly things are looking pretty good.
>Maxim_Panitch: ELUY 5L YULE +25 364
>Arie_Sinke: DEIOOTU 11G OUTDO +27 397
#note I thought that outrunning was going to be key here, and that points and leave would trump considerations like obstructing J plays at 15K and bingos involving the A or the T. A sim likes OUTDO by a substantial margin, and I believe it's the right play.
>Maxim_Panitch: CELT 14J TEL.C +26 390
#note Underscored by 2.
>Arie_Sinke: ?AEIJRW 7C JAW +32 429
#note This is my best endgame play - it scores without giving Max anywhere good to go out with ABERT.
>Maxim_Panitch: ABERT 1E BAT.ER +8 398
>Maxim_Panitch: (EIR?) +6 404
