>Arie_Sinke: EGGSSTT 8D TEGGS +16 16
#note This looks reasonable. The alternative is just playing TEGG. I would have a hard time giving up 4 points to retain SST instead of ST when the latter is probably slightly better anyhow just to give myself a hook, but the sim thinks the plays are almost exactly equal.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: IQ 9C QI +23 23
>Arie_Sinke: AEIOOST 10B OI +15 31
#note This looks best. I seriously considered GOO but thought that 9 points was a lot to give up to keep AEIST over AEOST. My play actually only sims one point ahead of GOO. I also thought GOO was too aggressive.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: AAEGILR H6 GA.ALIER +60 83
>Arie_Sinke: AEHOSTW I5 HOW +25 56
#note This looks best; OW in the same spot is comparable but probably slightly worse. I thought with a totally random rack for Robin I'm favored by the front hooks.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: DEOOSTU 14B OUTDOES +80 163
>Arie_Sinke: ADDESTT J6 DATED +30 86
#note Quackle thinks it pays to give up a few points to keep the leave intact here. I liked how my play "protects" the SHOW hook. TAD wins the sim by virtue of its strong leave; the board is open enough that I should bingo 50% of the time after TAD, compared to a mere 29% of the time after DATED. Only a 2 point spread error actually; hard to evaluate winning odds with a large deficit.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: ?ABENNS 4C BANNErS +76 239
>Arie_Sinke: AAIJNST H1 AJA. +30 116
#note Quackle thinks JAG F6 for 27 is slightly better for spread. I thought putting the A up at H1 might help my long term comeback prospects.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: AEIMMR 2H .AMMIER +48 287
>Arie_Sinke: INPRRST - +0 116
#note I challenged JAMMIER. I wasn't too certain about it, and saw really wanted to bingo and pull within 50 to give myself a good shot. After challenging, I know I will be bingoing next turn anyhow, as I have two spots.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: INOW 15A WINO +31 318
>Arie_Sinke: INPRRST M1 R.PRINTS +72 188
#note Highest scoring bingo.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: EX 8M .EX +30 348
>Arie_Sinke: ACEFTUY 4K FA.CY +34 222
#note TURFY and FURY in the same spot look better if I want to bingo and get myself back into the game somehow. This is a real point grabbing play. Sometimes this sort of thing works with a deficit if you get incredibly lucky.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: ACDFHTV 1A BRECAOL. +95 443
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: ACDFHTV -- -95 348
>Arie_Sinke: ?EHOTTU 1B OUTcHE.T +63 285
#note Missing THEREOUT though the E in GASALIER for 7 extra points in two different placements, although if I want to get another miraculous bingo and win, it could pay to leave the E open.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: ABE 1L B.AE +36 384
>Arie_Sinke: EIIORUV F6 VO.IE +19 304
#note I miss a bunch of better options here - this play is not very good, quite frankly. VIGOUR in the same spot cleans up the rack much better, and VIREO 5B scores 28, a huge improvement in score over the alternatives. Pretty sure this was my rack; handwriting is semi-legible.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: CFIKLOR 12E FIR.LOCK +84 468
>Arie_Sinke: DLRUZ 13L IVY +24 328
#note Failed to record full rack here, this looks reasonable.
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: ENNPU A8 UNPEN +29 497
>Arie_Sinke: DLRUZ G3 Z.D +44 372
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: EL 14N EL +14 511
>Robin_Pollock_Daniel: (RUL) +6 517
