#player2 Seth_Lipkin Seth Lipkin
>Samuel_Kaplan: AAEFRRT 8H ARF +12 12
#note And here's to my 1st ever time playing Seth. I don't know his game, and I am 2-1 +346 at this point in the tourney. I'm just playing to win, so I went with this over FRATER as well as FAR (too many hooks).
>Seth_Lipkin: ?EHLMNT H4 METH.NoL +65 65
#note Nice find. He could have also done METH(A)NaL for the same score.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEELRRT J8 .ALTERER +65 77
#note I did not know 11C TERRE(L)LA for 1 more point, but this did get challenged. Football player Owens plus an A, good to know.
>Seth_Lipkin: ?AEINTU - +0 65
#note Not actual rack. Seth challenged FALTERER.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ACEFGNN 15E FANNE. +27 104
#note I couldn't imagine that Seth kept particularly high scoring tiles (or that good of a range) after he took some time before challenging FALTERER. So I felt like I could try to rack more spread up by having earlier cracks at the Z. Quackle doesn't love this play in a sim just because Seth might block the hotspot on a future turn. If I'm going to do that, I liked my turnover to try to draw a compatible scoring tile.
>Seth_Lipkin: OOW K9 WOO +23 88
>Samuel_Kaplan: ACGJLRY 5F CL.RGY +24 128
#note Definitely not doing L8 JAG when I can attempt to draw a J play at L8 for more and dump 5 consonants in 1 move and score almost as much, because I couldn't see a move that would allow me to score nicely and save AGJR to attempt to draw into L8 JAGER.
>Seth_Lipkin: AOP 14E OPA +28 116
#note That'll be no more for the Z hostpot.
>Samuel_Kaplan: AEIJQSV 12D JIVES +46 174
#note Easily best. Just give me a U please.
>Seth_Lipkin: BNU 4K BUN +17 133
#note Nice play.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ADEEIIQ N2 QADI +35 209
>Seth_Lipkin: AEINPST O5 SAPIENT +79 212
#note I guess it's good thing I didn't do N1 QAID, his bingo scores more that way!
>Samuel_Kaplan: CDEEEIU L11 EDUCE +21 230
#note Not sure why I didn't do DEUCE in the same spot for 1 more.
>Seth_Lipkin: IX O1 XI +38 250
>Samuel_Kaplan: EGIOSTY 13C YO +19 249
#note Sims close with I3 GY(R)O.
>Seth_Lipkin: GIZ G8 ZIG +35 285
#note It's clearly not easy to score on this board without bingoing, so another nice play.
>Samuel_Kaplan: EEGIOST I3 GO.IE. +22 271
#note His ZIG play blocked EGESTION which was not what I needed to see. But, my bingo would have only been 61 points and he gets amazing counterplay on Column A a large % of the time. Honestly, it's time to find a way to grind this one out.
>Seth_Lipkin: AIILO N10 AIOLI +20 305
#note I guess bingoing is next to impossible for the time being.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?EHISTU J2 HI +16 287
#note This play basically changed the way the game turned out. Seth and I discussed this position to great lengths, and we both thought it was the right play. All that's unseen to me is 2 As and a K (7 vowels and 13 consonants too) and if he doesn't have either of those, he's going to have to sacrifice so many points to block. F2 HUI(C) was also considered just because I dump the U, but keeping EIST? doesn't mean very much on this board. All Seth has to do after HUIC is make a short Column G play, and that won't give me a bingo lane to hit.
>Seth_Lipkin: DKMORTV 1G DORK +37 342
#note Seth gave me his full rack for this position. I think this play is correct because he's scoring 37, and he leaves 7 in the bag so that if I bingo, he gets endgame timing.
>Samuel_Kaplan: ?EENSTU 2B bUTENES +71 358
#note Once again another hard play. I have to limit Seth's options on Row 1 and Row 3 knowing he has endgame timing and because I could literally draw anything from this consonant heavy pool.
>Seth_Lipkin: AABMRTV E8 BRAV. +20 362
#note Interestingly enough, Championship player identifies this and 3E TAV as the only ways Seth wins 100% of the time. We did discuss the endgame to great lengths too, and he did bring up an interesting point to do 3A TAM because I don't have a great direct block of BRAV(I), but I can still steal the win by doing F9 WE which blocks indirectly, then I have 2 out plays to use with DOUTS.
>Samuel_Kaplan: DEOSTUW D1 S.OWED +22 380
#note I can't win at this point.
>Seth_Lipkin: AMT 1A TAM. +23 385
#note The only thing for me to be disappointed in is the result. Probably the most exciting game I've been a part of, and my large spread still is intact. I just need to win another one and I can get myself up there in the standings. Great game Seth!
