Player 1
#player1 Bennett_Jacobstein Bennett Jacobstein
#player2 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
>Bennett_Jacobstein: COY 8G COY +16 16
#note Game 6 2022 World Cup Early Bird. Greg beat David by 3 points in the last round so Bennett and I get paired together and the winner probably wins the tournament although if David beats Greg by enough in round 6 David could win.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ABELOTX 7H BOX +23 23
>Bennett_Jacobstein: AFLOU 6H AFOUL +35 51
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEELMTW 5K MEW +26 49
#note Liked this to set up my L.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: EEHLTTW - +0 51
#note Exchange 5. Not actual rack.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAEILST - +0 49
#note Exchange the A. Going for a bingo.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: ABJ 4J JAB +39 90
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEGILST N3 GELATIS +69 118
#note N2 AIGLETS is 79. This was a tad lazy.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: CLT 8L CL.T +27 117
>Jonathan_Lindh: DEHIIOR L8 .HOIRED +26 144
#note Maybe IRID to take out O1 and keep the board tight.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: EINV O1 VEIN +30 147
>Jonathan_Lindh: IIOORRT K11 TORI +19 163
#note Probably tack on the extra I for TORII in the same spot.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: DNT 13J T..ND +12 159
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?AEIIOR 9K A.I. +11 174
>Bennett_Jacobstein: AR J2 RA. +12 171
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?EIOOPR 2C dROOPIE. +61 235
#note Only bingo on a dead board so I take it. Quackle also suggests 15G POORI for 26 keeping E?.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: FG H1 F.G +21 192
>Jonathan_Lindh: EGQRSUY 4D QUEYS +45 280
#note O12 GYRE is an option but given Bennett's last play, I sacrifice equity for defense.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: DINR 5C RIND +28 220
>Jonathan_Lindh: AAGNPRU B3 PUG +13 293
#note Probably too paranoid.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: AOZ 1A ZOA +37 257
>Jonathan_Lindh: AADENNR M11 NA. +9 302
#note More defense, this time on N11.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: AEEEESW - +0 257
#note Exchange 1. Not actual rack.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADEENRS C5 .E +2 304
#note There are a surplus of E's in the bag so I want to fish an E plus potentially make Bennett find a 9 if he's going to bingo.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: ?EILMST 15E MILTErS +79 336
>Bennett_Jacobstein: ?EILMST -- -79 257
#note If I have Bennett's rack recorded right, he missed G8 CLIMATES for 63. That play would have given me back ARSENIDE/NEARSIDE in row 10 but left the S in row 15 open.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADEENRS C5 ..ENDEARS +76 380
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADEENRS -- -76 304
#note I swear I heard this word before, but it looks I heard a nonword.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: ?EILMST C5 ..M +8 265
#note Still CLIMATES.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADEENRS D7 ENDEARS +72 376
#note It happens to the best of us. I was grateful to get this down.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: ?EILSTU 12B cU.LIEST +58 323
#note 13A LOUSIEST is 66.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEEKNTV H12 .ANK +24 400
#note Obviously 10B KEEVE for 24 but I was only 90% sure.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: HIW 14E WHI. +18 341
#note Best play.
>Bennett_Jacobstein: (VEET) +14 355
#note Final score recorded as 401-355. Final score should have been 400-355. I don't think I played great in the Early Bird, but I played better after round 2. I caught a lot of lucky breaks with spread which allowed me to win. First win in any NASPA or WGPO event since the 2018 Chicago one day tournament in the fall of 2018. Two missed bingos (PARIETAL and BLACKTIP) in 6 games with a roughly 412 point average score. Time for the main event!
