>Joshua_Sokol: ?ACDEOS H4 COlEADS +74 74
#note Oops should be COHEADS instead for a slightly worse floater. I considered this with the O on the star too, but the S placement ultimately made me less confident in the defense.
>Jackson_Smyie: AELNORS G8 LOANERS +67 67
>Joshua_Sokol: AAINORU F10 AURA +17 91
#note I considered OURARI and RUANA a lot as well, and should have considered AURORA and UNAI (I discarded URANIAS). UNAI and AURA both give back pretty big parallels that won't give anything back to me, whereas RUANA doesn't give back much scoring at all. I discarded RUANA cause of the bingo defense, and mild scoring defense of leaving the ERS open. But it only gives up a few more bingoes than AURA, since the S isn't totally blocked and the O and L are open. UNAI looks fine as well, the 2x2 is a bit scary looking but he averages less than after aura! Aura gives better overlaps and UNAI blocks the S.

>Jackson_Smyie: ?EMNRSV 6H ..VER +15 106
>Joshua_Sokol: ACGILNO L4 CA.OLING +74 181
#note his range is pretty strong to be opening with lover, so I like playing this for more defense over solacing
>Jackson_Smyie: ?GHMNPS 5K H.NG +26 132
#note alright, I have the case S and blank, but he can just play from the L in CAROLING. Still, this seems correct
>Joshua_Sokol: EEIMNPT 8L .IMP +24 205
#note I was looking for a word like PELMET and couldn't find it. IN can go south with 7 in the bag, but I score almost the same next turn on average after both plays, which I do find a bit surprising (actually more after pelmet). It's also better to swing the T than the P
>Jackson_Smyie: ?DEFMPS M7 D.F +27 159
>Joshua_Sokol: EEGINOT 14D EGE.TION +70 275
>Jackson_Smyie: ?BEMPST O1 TEMPS +45 204
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIJRUW 13J JURA +33 308
#note Maybe I should do WAUR - it's nice to take out the X bomb at some point, and to play at 15a without giving a nice floater (which josh will try to do). Jura is standard, but I was worried about big bombs with JURAL and JURAT. I do keep WI for under JU, which is a minor win, and I also liked that if JURA gets hooked next turn, that blocks the P. I don't hate JURA and it's standard, but does add another big bomb to the mix
>Jackson_Smyie: ?BIIQRV 8D QIB.. +26 230
>Joshua_Sokol: EEEIIKW N1 EWE +28 336
#note ouch I missed 15a EEEW
>Jackson_Smyie: ?IRRVXY 15A oRYX +80 310
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIIKTU N11 KATI +28 364
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIIKTU -- -28 336
#note I wasn't sure of this agh. ETUI is even fine here, it's very rare he gets zein
>Jackson_Smyie: BIOORTV E4 VIBR.O +22 332
>Joshua_Sokol: AEIIKTU 15J TIKI +26 362
#note I should really be playing ETUI here - with a vowel heavy bag, AEU is especially bad and the I in ETUI is especially not bad. I also block bingoes, lower his avg score as well by blocking JURAT hooks! bad
>Jackson_Smyie: AAEINOT 4D O.A +12 344
#note Hm. 11K A(G)O blocks his influence over the (JURA)T spot and thereby protects the P in LIMP as a prime bingo lane. Now Jackson will have to sacrifice a lot more to block the P. However, this is a lot better for my next two or three turns as it sets up a lane that is hard to block that I can fish for.
>Joshua_Sokol: AEOTUYZ N10 AZOTE +44 406
>Jackson_Smyie: AEEINTU 6E .E +6 350
#note It seems like I have to hope that EL, HL or YL are in the bag, so that ALUNITE wins. If fhe has M1 YEH then I lose. This blocks LE(A)DY which would still win when the H is in the bag. This is a reasonable shot, but seems to be way less than a 2/8 for the L. It's even less than 1/4 since I have to hope that there is only one L unseen and after that, hope that 3/8 comes true where H, E or Y are in the bag. 1/12?
>Joshua_Sokol: DDEHIUY M1 YEH +46 452
