#player1 Matthew_Larocque Matthew Larocque
#player2 Christopher_Sykes Christopher Sykes
>Matthew_Larocque: BDDISST 8G BIDS +14 14
#note I don't usually do this with an extra S, but it made too much sense with this rack.
>Christopher_Sykes: OX J8 .OX +26 26
>Matthew_Larocque: ADGLRST H7 G.LD +6 20
#note Maybe GLAD 9E, ARST isn't worth scoring only 6 points. If it was ERST, then maybe.
>Christopher_Sykes: CEO 10F CO.E. +21 47
>Matthew_Larocque: AEGRSTT I10 .T +2 22
>Christopher_Sykes: AEINOTU 9G O.I. +18 65
#note After we had combined for 1066, we decided to attempt the sub-700 instead.
>Matthew_Larocque: AEGRSTT 12C TARGETS +74 96
>Christopher_Sykes: AENTU 11B TUNA +16 81
>Matthew_Larocque: AAADEEK H12 .AKA +24 120
>Christopher_Sykes: DENT 13B DENT +22 103
>Matthew_Larocque: ADEERY 14E YER. +20 140
#note Missed the last letter, but I think it was either E or R. I wasn't sure on YERKED. Plus, I had kind of embraced the closed board at this point.
>Christopher_Sykes: EELLNNW -EELLNNW +0 103
#note He told me he had EELLNN and I just put W for the 7th letter.
>Matthew_Larocque: ADEEHOR 15F HE.D +15 155
#note After his exchange, I was really worried about IDENT, but what can I really do about it? With a Y already gone, it's unlikely he'll have HEADY after this. Maybe 10A OE, but I'd rather let him make a play like that.
>Christopher_Sykes: AZ 10A ZA +17 120
>Matthew_Larocque: AEINORU A8 RE. +36 191
>Christopher_Sykes: IUUWW -IUUWW +0 120
>Matthew_Larocque: AAINOUY A13 ION +15 206
#note I couldn't believe this was still open, so I pretty much have to shut it down now right? Ugly leaves and ugly boards go together don't they?
>Christopher_Sykes: LLLNN -LLLNN +0 120
>Matthew_Larocque: AAELUWY B13 .YE +26 232
#note Not sure how much the simulation helps here, but J13 WAY is slightly ahead. Maybe I come out ahead on the ensuing parallels, but there's also two blanks out.
>Christopher_Sykes: EJO B6 JOE +28 148
>Matthew_Larocque: AALRTUW 15A ..AT +5 237
#note I must have spent a good 5 minutes here. I wasn't happy with any of the plays off of JOE. JURAL/JURAT open a juicy 2x2 so that was out of the question. JAW is better, but I wanted to avoid giving him any easy sevens. I decided to leave it. If he plays JO then I'll probably have a good play with the W. Still, I should perhaps exchange here. Sim liks JURAL or JAW.
>Christopher_Sykes: GOR C6 ORG +21 169
>Matthew_Larocque: ALPRUWW D4 WAW +31 268
>Christopher_Sykes: ENPS E3 PENS +35 204
>Matthew_Larocque: ?LPQRUU F2 Qi +33 301
#note Lmao. I mean I guess this is a blessing. I was just afraid to see what my next rack would be - and how much time I'd need to trudge through the remainder of the game. This sims 3rd best too, 3E PULP is the favourite.
>Christopher_Sykes: AIV G1 VIA +23 227
>Matthew_Larocque: ELLPRUU C1 PULE +18 319
#note Time's getting low, I slapped this down. 4G LULU.
>Christopher_Sykes: FFI 1G .IFF +39 266
>Matthew_Larocque: AHILRU 1A RA.HI +42 361
>Matthew_Larocque: AHILRU -- -42 319
#note Don't ask...
>Christopher_Sykes: BCRSU K1 SCRUB +32 298
>Matthew_Larocque: AHILLRU L4 HAUL +28 347
#note I don't think I'm far enough ahead to make some dumb low-scoring blocking play. Some bingos still play like MOONIER, MINIVER etc. but I have to take the risk. Champ says HILAR, which makes sense actually.
>Christopher_Sykes: ?IMMNNV 2B M. +8 306
#note He said he was going for MINIVAN. Champ's results say 2B MUN has the best odds at 33%. Simulation says 2B VUM wins nearly 80%. I think VUM is the play. Keeping VM together produces less bingos. IMNN? seems to draw into a ton of bingos because there's 7 vowels unseen.
>Matthew_Larocque: EIILOOR M7 OILIER +11 358
#note Lucky for me, LO is surprisingly bad for hooks. It does take an R now, so I was worried about MINIVER. I entered 7K ILL into the sim for fun. It only scores 4, but it supposedly wins ~75% compared to ~63% for OILIER or plays that do the same thing as OILIER. Huh!
>Christopher_Sykes: ?EIMNNV A1 MaVIN +34 340
>Matthew_Larocque: IO J5 OI +9 367
>Matthew_Larocque: (EN) +4 371
#note Scored as 369 - 337, which still fails to keep our total score from exceeding 700.
