#note this is an interesting pre-endgame. normally one would want to play two tiles off, but the rack is clunky enough that a longer play looks advisable to clear the crap. I phonied here, which should've been disastrous even though I think I would still outrun CAFTAN. I deliberated between this and DOOK at D12, but I was scared of him responding with JDACK for 57 and outrunning me. I think the best play is Quackle's suggestion of DOOK at 2D, blocking all of the row 1 bingos and still scoring a healthy amount. after that, I lose only to AIRCRAFT, LACERANT, IATRICAL and ANALECTA (some of which are pretty tough to find), and maybe some sequences where he gets a big JD play and another huge play. I also considered EVOKED at C10, but the problem with that move is it doesn't score that much and could lose to a regular out in two with the JD.
