#note Best score, but not my best play. Matter of fact, the duck hates this. I don't like it, either, because not only does it play off all my E's, but look at all the easy FEY/FEH type plays it gave back. And let's not forget the worst-possible case of FEZ plays. So, why did I play this? Don't ask me how, but I never saw what should have been the obvious play: Best is DEFT J6 for 12, leaving a juicy ENRT.
>Fran_Silver: EJ J6 JE.. +30 52
>Jim_Burlant: IINORTT 7B INTROIT +66 85
#note Lucky break; bailed by what would have otherwise been an unaccommodating replacement draw on turn 1. This is my only bingo.
>Fran_Silver: AIP 6B PIA +25 77
>Jim_Burlant: BBELQRS 5C BLEB +24 109
#note Hmmm. Quackle wants me to fish with QAT, because the unseen tiles give me a roughly 1 in 3 chance of hitting a 7 that will play on row 10. But that means that roughly 2 out of 3 times I'm playing for chump change or possibly exchanging after I play for 12. If I was going to play BLEB, I might have been better off playing for 3 fewer points at 5D, so as to set up an S hook at H1.
>Fran_Silver: PY D4 P...Y +28 105
>Jim_Burlant: ACDIQRS 10F QIS +36 145
#note Bailed again.
>Fran_Silver: EIR 11D REI +17 122
>Jim_Burlant: ACCDORS 4F ACCORDS +84 229
#note Only bingo.
>Fran_Silver: AIL H1 LAI. +18 140
>Jim_Burlant: EEIMOSU K4 .UO +17 246
#note I only considered two plays in this position. First was MOUE 12A, and this. The sim likes MOUE, but I saw no reason to open the triple and give Fran easy opportunities to get back into the game. Given the limited options here I'm fine with this.
>Fran_Silver: AG 8A AG +15 155
>Jim_Burlant: EEIMSTU K9 .UE +8 254
#note Not thrilled about abandoning the defensive motif, but I didn't see anything I liked. A sim says it's eitehr L6 EMU or 12A MUTE. While 12 MUTE no longer opens bingo threats like MOUE did on the last turn, my problem with it now is that it breaks up too much of a promising rack. As long as I don't draw two of the same thing, this should yield good results. Still in excellent shape at 95%.
>Fran_Silver: ?DELNNO 12H NONsLED +70 225
>Fran_Silver: ?DELNNO -- -70 155
#note Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? Her legitimate bingoes are NYLONED, ENDLONG on row 12, and LENTANDO on row 2.
>Jim_Burlant: AEIMOST 1H .OAMIEST +83 337
#note Pay dirt.
>Fran_Silver: ?DELNNO 2J NO +12 167
#note Her bingo options include LENTANDO 2D, 12I NyLONED, 12H ENDLONg.
>Jim_Burlant: EEOTUWZ L6 WUZ +38 375
#note Normally I wouldn't place the Z at 8L, given how easy it would be for her to come back for 39 at 8L. However, I know she's got the blank and I figure that she'll bingo on row 12 and I can hopefully extend the Z on the next turn for good comeback points.
>Fran_Silver: ?ADELMN 12G MANtLED +75 242
#note Fortunately for me she didn't look closely enough at what I just put down. This same word plays for 19 more at M7.
>Jim_Burlant: AEEGIOT 8L .OEA +39 414
>Fran_Silver: EHKNOY 13B HONKEY +51 293
>Jim_Burlant: EGGISTX 14B EX +37 451
>Fran_Silver: AW 15A AW +24 317
>Jim_Burlant: AGGHIST M7 H.GG +24 475
#note Garbage time - Looking to build a fourth bingo rack as an exclamation point. That's why I missed M6 plays like SHOAT/SHOGI for 38.
>Fran_Silver: ?ILORTV O4 VIOL.TeR +64 381
>Jim_Burlant: AEINSTV C12 V.. +13 488
#note Wake up -the slick VIE 12C scores 38. Eyeballing the kibbitzer options without a sim, STAVE 13K scores 30 and looks best, as it guarantees outs all over the board with the remaining IN. Needless to say I wasn't thinking too hard at this point.
