>Bradley_Whitmarsh: AAAAELU -AAAU +0 0
>Evans_Clinchy: IMRRUUX 8F RIMU +12 12
#note This was unorthodox but worth trying, I thought. With the X in hand, it made sense to me to expose vowels to DLS squares and hope to cash in for 40+ next turn. The sim isn't crazy about this - apparently I average 40 next turn after the more conventional play of MURRI and 41 after RIMU, so hardly any difference. The point sacrifice here is sorta silly.

>Bradley_Whitmarsh: AAEINTT N1 TAENIAT. +70 124
#note Strong play here by Brad - he's got 7 different bingos that play, but this one causes the least trouble for him defensively. Turns out I had COLOGNES but he blocked it.

>Evans_Clinchy: EEFNNPQ F3 Q.EP +21 263
#note It's tempting to hold onto the Q for now and take out the 10J hotspot with FEEN for 28. ENPQ isn't a bad leave, as Q leaves go. Sim says the two plays are close. Decided against FEEN, though. There's only one unseen U to bail me out of the Q trouble, and it's a terrible board for finding U-less Q plays.
>Bradley_Whitmarsh: DEIMPRT L10 DIMP +24 218
>Evans_Clinchy: ABEFNNT 10J F.. +28 291
#note Fishing with BANNET isn't very useful here... sim prefers turning over more tiles with NEF O3. That's reasonable.
>Bradley_Whitmarsh: EEOORTZ 13F ZOETRO.E +92 310
#note Brad picked EOOZ on a 4-tile draw and bingoed for 92! Don't see that every day...
>Evans_Clinchy: ABEINNT H12 B.NI +27 318
#note Thought I was still in decent shape at this point. Taking a small lead, keeping a solid leave and still keeping some bingo real estate open.
>Bradley_Whitmarsh: ADGIRVW L1 .RAW +36 346
>Evans_Clinchy: AEENOST D3 A.ETONES +61 379
>Bradley_Whitmarsh: AADDGIV C7 GADID +26 372
#note I like this play by Brad a lot. He's got an awkward rack and can't be too confident he'll get a chance to bingo, but if this game comes down to outrunning with points, GADID sets up a massive hotspot for him to cash in the V. Good way to assure himself more scoring in a situation that could be ugly otherwise.
>Evans_Clinchy: ABEEFHS N10 FEASE +52 431
#note I'm in the same situation that Brad is, basically. I don't know what Brad's holding, but based on the pool unseen to me at this point, I've gotta fear he's got a bingo, maybe with the blank, maybe without. I played FEASE for outrunning purposes. I get 52 now, and I can probably get another similar score next turn since I'm keeping the B and H for the 10B hotspot. This way I can let him bingo through the I at the bottom and maybe still score enough to win. The many-ply sim loves this play, which is good to see.
>Bradley_Whitmarsh: AGILNTV 15E VIG.LANT +63 435
#note He bingos, but without the blank! Uh oh... this could get interesting...
>Evans_Clinchy: BHILNRV B10 VIRL +32 463
#note A bizarre ending to this game! We both had a chance to win depending on the last draw, and we both got sort of disappointing endgame racks. I was frustrated not to have more vowels, making it tough to find an out-in-two sequence; he has the opposite problem. Lucky for me I still have VIRL, giving me just enough to pull this one out. Even with the blank, his endgame rack just doesn't have the juice to outrun this.
>Bradley_Whitmarsh: ?IOU J2 fU.IO +7 442
#note His only outplay, and he's gotta make it. Slowplaying out won't work because I'll score too much with the H. Optimal pre-endgame and endgame on both sides! Hard-fought match. Lucky to just barely pull it out.
