#player1 Jonathan_Lindh Jonathan Lindh
#player2 Tim_O'Hara_Jr. Tim O'Hara Jr.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ADEGGIL 8G LAGGED +22 22
#note Jonathan's First 600 Point Game! This was a milestone that I was bound to hit eventually. Now it's time to repeat this at a tournament. LAGGED and 8H IGGED are almost identical. IGGED is first by a mere .7 equity, but it's really a coin flip. Both of these plays fit my hyper volatile style.
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: FO J6 FO. +15 15
#note Tim may have missed the FLAGGED hook. Or he may have wanted to keep the board open.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AADEIIV L8 .IVIDE +22 44
#note Talk about the draw from hell! My play is 2nd but only behind Quackle's best play K4 VIA by 2.2 equity points. I think the extra points here are worth it; ADEI is not a good leave. Plus DIVIDE once again fits my hyper volatile style. Look at this magnificent hook filled board!
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: AEINORT H8 .ERATION +77 92
#note Best play for Tim! I didn't expect to see this come down. Not to worry though.
>Jonathan_Lindh: AACIIRS K11 AI +11 55
#note Quackle goes for RAIA or ARIA at 14L and 14K respectively for 20 points by 1.3 equity points over mine but those moves are suicidal. Plus, Tim would turn out to have the Q.
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: Q 13G Q. +21 113
#note I think Tim had an I too s covering the K11 spot was good.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ACDIIRS 14J CADIS +41 96
#note AARGH! I accidently block myself and can't play CARDITIS! Oh well, Tim would have played QI and I still wouldn't have been able to play CARDITIS. It's either my play or DARIC in the same spot. I actually think DARIC is 2.2 equity points better here which is what Quackle thinks it is over mine. DARIC takes an S and I'm keeping an S so its probably worth the 5 poin sacrifice. My play is still fine though.
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: ?EOSTUX 13L .X +36 149
>Jonathan_Lindh: AIPPRSW 10L .AW +17 113
#note First play where Quackle and I disagree. 11E PAPAW doesn't get me anywhere and just constipates a board I am already behind on. With two P's in tow I should be able to score well on the triple line. I also like keeping the LAGGED spot open. I'm loving the volatility.
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: HO 15N HO +20 169
#note "Life can flip in a matter of seconds. One morning, you're waking up in the projects and the next morning you're waking up in a $1.2 million dollar car."-Ace Hood- Bugatti. This is going to be the Scrabble equivalent of that statement.
>Jonathan_Lindh: CEIPPRS O4 PRECIPS +108 221
#note I WOKE UP IN A NEW BUGATTI!
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: FIKNOUZ - +0 169
#note Tim unsuccessfully challenged. This word is new and one of the lowest probability 7's I have ever played in a game. This word ranks up along with the 113 point DOXOLOGY I played against Bobbie Crew in my first tournament. And it is obviously the best play and only bingo.
>Jonathan_Lindh: EIRSTTY 6M TY. +14 235
#note Best play! Only 8 in these letters is SKITTERY surprisingly.
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: FIKNOUZ M3 HIL.Y +30 199
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: FIKNOUZ -- -30 169
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEIRRST 15A RESTRAI. +77 312
#note Best play! This was the point where the game became a slaughter.
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: EH 14E EH +28 197
>Jonathan_Lindh: ALMSTWZ M3 WAL.Z +54 366
#note Best play!
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: OY L3 OY +25 222
>Jonathan_Lindh: AKMNOST K5 KAM. +29 395
#note Best play! Almost did the inferior KORMA at 10F and then saw this.
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: BILR G4 BRIL. +8 230
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?NOSTTU 2F TeNUTOS +66 461
#note Best play along with C8 STOUTeNS, which I strongly considered. Both score 66. I think my rationale for playing TeNUTOS is that I didn't want to open an easy 7 line.
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: ?EEFIMN 1G MEN +26 256
>Jonathan_Lindh: AEFINOU N2 FEU +27 488
#note Best play!
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: ELRV 11E VEL.R +16 272
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?ABINOO N8 BO. +16 504
#note First and only sizable mistake of the game. I wiffed on both BONIATOS and the new word BORONIAS each at C8 for 70 apiece. Strangely, if I find any of these bingos, I probably don't hit 600 and end up in the 580s to low 590s even with Tim's challenge (he said he would have challenged either one). I got to stopped missing these medium probability finds. I know both of these words! Also I3 BO gets me an extra point. -17.6.
>Tim_O'Hara_Jr.: JNOTU 3B JUNTO +26 298
#note Should Tim have blocked and made the non-equity play B13 JOE to gum up the lines? I would have even though it's weird to block when you're over 200 points behind.
>Jonathan_Lindh: ?ADEINO B1 AD.OINEd +84 588
#note Best Play! I was set to play ANODISER/ANODIZER at A8, but then looked harder and saw this. When I saw this I knew I had a shot at breaking 600 points in a single game.
>Jonathan_Lindh: (EEGNU) +12 600
#note I just hit the 600 point mark!
